Hi

Unbelievably I actually have an interview for an NHS admin position! A and E reception.

I have to arrive half an hour before for the Maths and English test and was wondering if anyone knew what was involved and how I can prepare if at all?

Thanks a lot Smile.

It will be fairly straightforward, I would imagine. It looks like English is your native language? - so that part of it will be fine!

Thanks - Yes the English will be ok - it was more the Maths.

I had an interview for a similar job last year, they were very short simple tests, simple addition and multiplication (a calculator was provided) and a short comprehension test probably primary school level! Good luck!

The maths test is GCSE level, and nothing to be worried about. The one my trust does starts by asking you to count things, ends with asking for an average.

Thank you. Will definitely do some brushing up of my Maths as it was never a strong point, but it’s good to know it won’t be difficult.

@Emergencyexit can I ask what kind of questions they asked you? Did you end up getting / taking up the job?

Does anyone else know what kinds of questions might be asked?

Thank you Smile.
