Is this okay to wear for work

I have a black funnel top from Topshop however you can see my bra underneath. I don’t know if I’m being paranoid but do you think it looks too ‘night out’

I won’t be showing any flesh as it’s clearly high neck, plus I’ll just be pairing it with black jeans. Also, I’m small chested like the model so you can’t see any cleavage

I work corporate office, but we have a ‘dress for the day’ policy (e.g. jeans fine when you have no meetings)

Um, absolutely not.
Did you really have to ask this? If so, you may want to review the rest of your work wardrobe 🤨

WindowGazer2 · 12/03/2020 09:47

Can't believe you need to ask...

That's not a work top...

MrMeSeeks · 12/03/2020 09:48

Not unless you’re wearing a vest top too

Pop a black or nude string top underneath and it would be fine, but wouldn't wear it with just a bra.

I remember a girl I worked with came in a lace top with just a bra- I was so shocked as it just wasn't work wear!

Nonnymum · 12/03/2020 09:55

Could you wear a black vest underneath it?

amusedbush · 12/03/2020 11:29

Absolutely not appropriate for work.

Possibly with a vest underneath but even then I'm not sure.

PawPawNoodle · 12/03/2020 11:38

It depends on where you work I guess. Corporate office - no. Bordello - yes.

Jolonglegs · 12/03/2020 11:52

Are you really serious about this OP?
It would be completely inappropriate for my work place. I want men to listen to what I'm saying, not ogling my underwear.

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 12/03/2020 11:55

No showing ones bra at work isn’t ok, looks very unprofessional unless your a sex worker of course......

munzero · 12/03/2020 12:11

I would say it completely depends on your office environment!

BeFire · 12/03/2020 12:20

I have a real thing for tops like this at the minute but even on nights out I wear a vest top underneath.

2ndAugust · 12/03/2020 20:12

I actually wore this top to work today with a black chiffon vest top underneath, pinstripe trousers and boots. No one batted an eyelid. Mortgage office so quite conservative. It’s how you put it together.

OurChristmasMiracle · 12/03/2020 20:13

No. I wouldn’t wear that to work and we have a relaxed work wear policy (jeans and trainers are fine for example) but that wouldn’t be ok.

Stompythedinosaur · 12/03/2020 20:50

I think underwear needing to be covered is probably the minimum requirement of work clothes! Surprised anyone would consider wearing this to work.

HarrySnotter · 12/03/2020 20:52

Why do you want your work colleagues to see your underwear? That's just odd tbh.

Alsohuman · 12/03/2020 20:57

It would be fine with a plain black cami under it.

PegasusReturns · 12/03/2020 23:11

@2ndAugust it’s not “how you put it together” it’s “whether you decide to show your bra or not”.

If you wear a vest underneath it becomes a totally different proposition Hmm
