Starting a new thread because the old one is full, I never thought when I started it that it would a) be moved to Classics and b) help so many people.

@TheBuggerlugs (ah, love your user name - my dear Grandad used to call me - well, all 400 of his grandchildren - that)

You know what? I'm going to take your worries now. That way, you can look forward all evening to a lovely sleep tonight. Palpitations shall be quiet, anxiety shall take a rest. You just rest and let your poor body fight this horrible virus. That's your only job. You take care of you, and sleep. I've got the whole bundle and shall take good care of them.

I’m signing in for the night watch. Any worries or problems that are plaguing you tonight can be left here with me and the cat. We will take care of them while you sleep.

HannaYeah · 03/12/2020 03:33

I’m here and will take your worries also if you need them minded. Listening to Bluegrass music, hanging out in a cool space tonight (at home, of course). Your worries will be safe and hopefully realize they need to get off your back.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 04/12/2020 00:18

if anyone needs me to take care of their worries tonight, pass them along. Still working, but really just planning the tree decorating. The lovely clean living room is now a big mess of boxes and stuff everywhere, but I'll find a spot to tuck the worries so that I can keep my eye on them.

I'm worried about keeping myself here. I love my son so much but I am clearly suffering from PND, awaiting assessment on the 18th but I don't know how much longer I can wait for help

I can only say that IME any rest at all is a great help. Easier said than done with a new baby but everything is less fuzzy when you allow yourself some rest. Daffodil
2018SoFarSoGreat · 04/12/2020 00:59

oh sorry to hear that, @nokia3210567. Please don't wait - shout out for help now, not in two more weeks!

For tonight I shall hold your worries and fears and you get some rest. You need to take care of you, as well as your son.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 05/12/2020 23:18

I'm here if any of you need to park your worries tonight. They can keep me company as I potter doing the tree and keep getting distracted.

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 08/12/2020 23:30

I’m here for the night watch, any worries, problems or sleep stealers in general can be dropped off here, me and the cat will watch over them while you sleep.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 09/12/2020 03:37

@GenuineKlatchianPottery could you please hold onto my rising panic? Two siblings and their families battling CV. One in hospital. I'm completely helpless, as is everyone in this situation, but being so far away makes it feel so much worse.

Is a really busy week at with and I just can't lose it right now, so if you could do your magic it would be marvelous. Thank you!

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 09/12/2020 11:00

@2018SoFarSoGreat. I hope you feel better today and that your family recover quickly. You are there for everyone else, I hope knowing that someone was there for you when you needed helped.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 09/12/2020 16:54

@GenuineKlatchianPottery you know I totally believe in this, so yes, I slept well. The minute I gave you my worries I was able to just rest my mind and body. What will be will be, and the chance of recovery is much higher than otherwise. So, thank you, my friend. I'll return the favor whenever you need it.

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 11/12/2020 00:22

I’m here if anyone wants to drop their worries off for the night. I shall tuck them up nice and cozy in my teddy bedding with me and the cat and they’ll be safe here while you sleep.

HannaYeah · 11/12/2020 03:16

I’m here, too. Just made cookies. Christmas music playing. Glass of wine. If we can get enough together for a poker game I’ll take your worries’ money and leave them feeling so confused they’ll forget where to find you.

Tinkerbellflowers · 11/12/2020 03:22

I'm in hospital. Just had a hysterectomy and am in a lot of pain. Feeling lonely and worried 😭

akerman · 11/12/2020 03:24

What a lovely, kind thread. My worry is my mother whom we have had to put in a care home. She has dementia and was verbally abusing my 88 year old Dad for 3 hours or so a day, waking him up in the night and had started hitting him. But she is so unhappy and has been attacking the staff. If they can’t settle her she’ll have to go to a challenging behaviour unit which would be dreadful for her. We can’t visit because of Covid. She told me she couldn’t believe she’d given birth to someone as evil as me. She was very abusive when we were growing up, but I wish. I could do more.

PleaseLetIanBeDead · 11/12/2020 03:24

Im worried

Iv been fully shielding since March, not gone anywhere! Apart from drs and hospital.
Was looking forward to having the vaccine and finally able to leave the house
Just Found out, due to a serious penicillin allergy, I cant have it...
So now what, Stay indoors forever!

Im almost certain to die if i get Corona!
Gutted doesn't cover it

Anyway.... Please someone take this away

akerman · 11/12/2020 03:25

Oh tinker bell I’m sorry. Can they not give you painkillers? xx

TJ17 · 11/12/2020 03:27

I'm sat in a hospital bed with my 3 month old daughter who is going to have open heart surgery in less than 6 hours,

I have never felt so terrified and sad in my entire life. I feel so lonely right now and don't know where to turn 😞

I'm so worried this will be the last cuddles we have that I can't put her down and get some sleep.

We've been told we would be very lucky to be home in time for Xmas which I didn't realise before coming in (originally told 7-10 days) and I have a DS at home who is excited for Santa and I feel like I'm letting him down too 😞😞😞

Tinkerbellflowers · 11/12/2020 03:28

Had some painkillers. Morphine made me sick yesterday. Terrified of getting covid so playing down the pain so I can go home. Thank you for coming back to me, as I was feeling so lonely. Sorry to hear about your troubles.
