Starting a new thread because the old one is full, I never thought when I started it that it would a) be moved to Classics and b) help so many people.

Also, Yesterday got diagnosed with a non cancerous brain tumour, but its on the nerve for hearing and the most common symptom is hearing loss

Life sucks right now

Tinkerbellflowers · 11/12/2020 03:33

TJ17 what is your little girl's name? I am so sorry to hear you are having to go through this. You mustn't feel guilty towards your son 💐

akerman · 11/12/2020 03:42

Thinking of you, TJ, and hope all goes very well.
pleaselet that sounds really rough - I’m sorry.
I hope you get home soon, tinkerbell - that alone might help the pain. Maybe they could give you some co-codamol at least. You could surely go home on co-codamol. Being in pain in hospital is miserable.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 11/12/2020 04:03

@Tinkerbellflowers I hope they get your pain under control and you get some rest.

@akerman that's really hard. You poor things. Horrible times.

@TJ17 how scary. Sending good thoughts and I'm going to hold the Worry so that you can just be there loving your baby.

@PleaseLetIanBeDead oh god. That's just awful. No wonder you can't sleep.

I shall hold all of these fears and worries for you. I will be gentle but firm. You just rest now. Let me hold this for you. I've got this.

TJ17 · 11/12/2020 04:04

Thank you 🙏🏼

You have no idea how comforting that is to read ❤️

2018SoFarSoGreat · 11/12/2020 06:27

@TJ17 I've been thinking of your little one all evening, and saying a wee prayer to the gods and goddesses and any other deity listening, to keep her safe, to guide get surgeon and to send a big hug to you.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 11/12/2020 06:32

Guide HER surgeon. Sorry. Fat fingers.

HomeFree55 · 11/12/2020 07:01

TJ17

I am the parent of a little girl with heart disease too an have been in your position twice now. Be gentle on yourself, you will all be in my thoughts

TJ17 · 11/12/2020 23:48

Thank you so so much everyone. Can't tell you how much comfort I got from you last night when I felt so so alone and scared.

The surgery went well today and she's doing ok 😊🙏🏼❤️

I hope everybody else can lock up their worries tonight xxx

2018SoFarSoGreat · 12/12/2020 00:03

@TJ17 great to see your update. It's early days and I know it is so scary post surgery (DH had heart valve surgery) but one day at a time. I'm here to take the Worry again tonight. You just get some sleep if you can. She's in good hands. 💐

Tinkerbellflowers · 12/12/2020 00:58

TJ17 so pleased to see your update. 💐

akerman · 12/12/2020 22:49

Lovely update TJ17. How are you, tinkerbell? Did you get to go home? xx

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 12/12/2020 22:54

Anyone who needs to drop their worries off for the night feel free to pop them at the end of the bed with the cat and we will take care of them while you sleep.

Tinkerbellflowers · 12/12/2020 23:08

Thank you Akerman. I am home and feel much better for it. Still quite uncomfortable but lovely to be home. This is such a lovely thread. You are all such lovely people. 💐

akerman · 12/12/2020 23:23

Am really glad you’re home!
And I really love this thread too!

JetBlackSteed · 12/12/2020 23:38

Hi I'm here too to offer a hold for anyone tonight. I have space for thoughts and good wills. My DH is getting better and my cat, so I can hold you too.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 12/12/2020 23:54

It is funny how so many of us Worry Warriors depend on our cat assistant as we do the work. The beady eyes alert us to any movement of escape ❤️

FinallyFluid · 13/12/2020 02:44

Ok here I am reporting for duty, bright eyed and bushy tailed despite my best efforts at sleep.

So bring your worries over here and I will mind them.

I finished my treatment and the buggers locked us down the very same day, so it has been a very strange year, but believe it or not I have had worse. I kid you not.

We have saved quite a bit on not going to the pub on a Sunday every week, so we are ploughing that into Christmas.

That is not a brag, it is just to point out that when I started this thread part one this time last year, I was wide awake due to all my worries.

My grandmother used to say everything passes in this life, good times and bad and she was right.

So in conclusion, if you have any worries come and park them here, if I have finally fallen asleep someone will be along soon.

BobISMyUncle · 14/12/2020 01:39
