Starting a new thread because the old one is full, I never thought when I started it that it would a) be moved to Classics and b) help so many people.

bless you, @HannaYeah - give me strength to NOT beat anyone with a very small stick. It is not quite recommended in a law firm :))))

Could someone possible please hold my OCD worries for a couple hours? It’s getting too much lately, finding it hard to function during the day and even harder to sleep at night. A couple hours of not having to deal with it would be bliss

I’ll mind your OCD worries, BogOffWinter, leave them with me and rest up.

@isolatedmum i will mind your worries for tonight, and hopefully you can rest tonight to give you strength for tomorrow. Also a virtual hand hold for tomorrow.

If anyone is awake would they mind taking mine off me, just so I can get a couple of hours sleep?
My mind is swirling with work issues just now.

SpeedofaSloth I've got yours, I'm up with teething baby so I'll keep them company. You rest easy, work will all still be there in the morning x

Hey all. Currently awake worrying about all that’s happening and about the fact I have developed a cough today. I’m half convinced it’s a nervous sympathy cough because it’s all anyone talks about and half terrified I’ve caught it because I’ve got children and could have given them it if so. Someone please talk some sense into me!

Yes I’m worried but because I made a thread hoping to help neighbours in need and not one person responded to help me try to do this, even to offer advice

I'm here @Thepigeonsarecoming and @Royallyscrewed. I shall hold your worries for the rest of tonight. You go get some good rest. I've got you. Close your eyes.

I have everyone for the next hour if you have work or cough or neighbour worries. Curled up with the dog. He's useless but he'll bark manically at your worries. They'll be deafened.

Anyone like to mind my ADHD for a bit so I can sleep now and get stuff done later? I am snowed under.

Report
MrsTerryPratchett · 13/03/2020 04:39

I'll look after it. My lovely DD has ADHD so I'm good with it while she's asleep.

Still awake and a full day of work ahead. Just so unsettled, worried about elderly mum who lives abroad, worried about work, about a move, about not sleeping and feeling even worse, worry about worry.

Can I leave it in a neat little bundle with one of you lovelies?

I'm so frightened about my immunosuppressed DH and coronavirus. Can't keep things in proportion. If anyone could mind this worry, I'd be grateful.

MrsMozartMkII · 13/03/2020 05:22

Pepperama and ToLiveInPeace I have them. Rest now.

@WarmSausageTea thank you, oddly managed to get a full 7 hours for once!

You’re welcome, BogOffWinter, I hope you have a better day today.

It worked! The minute I'd written I could let go and sleep. Should have done this at 2am instead.

I'm now at worked trying to stay awake. If anyone has worries they want looking after, I can take them for the day.

BogOffWinter · 13/03/2020 09:34

@WarmSausageTea managed to get a phone consultation with my doctor for a prescription to help with the anxiety. Hopefully it’ll help get things back under control.

Anyone needs their worries minded during the day I’m here Flowers

Report
WarmSausageTea · 13/03/2020 09:40

Will be thinking of you, BogOffWinter.

I am grudgingly doing some unavoidable shopping, I have spare bags for worries and a don’t-mess-with-me attitude if anyone needs a break.

May I sit here a while? Had late night and unexpected confirmation that something I was organising has been cancelled due to this bloody virus. We knew it was a possibility but absolutely was not expecting this answer today.

In the grand scheme of things, I can see that it’s probably sensible, but fuck. It’s going to be logistically difficult and problematic and I’m just really disappointed (it was a nice thing we were doing). And all the RL people who can help me with this are, funnily enough, asleep.

Just feeling somewhat sorry for myself.
