Hmmmm bit rude.....

So every morning at work we are emailed our fire safety and first aider on site, this includes which fire marshal is responsible for which floor when clearing the building. I am always the marshal my floor. We have a new receptionist(been here about a month) she always spells my name wrong. Twice I've told her without an E on the end, it even has the correct spelling on my email address.

So today's email comes and the E is back! I emailed back

Hi XXX

Can you please change my name to show without the E, I know it's only a small detail but as you can imagine I've had years of saying XXX without the E.

In her lengthy reply where she basically said she was busy atm but ...… I will change this insignificant detail later.....

I know it's a little thing and given the current crisis going on it is insignificant but I don't have an unusual name just one you can have with or without the E

So what is important to you but to others it's insignificant?

I think a lot of people are missing the point. I don't think the OP is that upset she keeps spelling her name wrong even though she's new there and should be making more of an effort, it was the rude reply to OP's correction and request for it to be changed.

It is not an insignificant detail and the new receptionist needs to try not to piss off her new workmates within the first few weeks by being a snarky cow.
