Hi, I’m currently eating the above for my breakfast which are leftovers from last night.

It’s bloody gorgeous and I’m enjoying it but feel like it’s a bit weird.

Please tell me the weirdest thing you’ve eaten for breakfast to make me feel less of an oddball Smile

Thanks!

My favourite breakfast is leftover trifle. All the food groups.

I was going to post trifle, but someone beat me to it. My Mum used to make an Amaretto trifle with amaretti biscuits and black cherry compote in it for Christmas every year, which was perfect for hungover Boxing Day breakfast. Leftover Pavlova is also good for breakfast after a big night.

I also use up left over roast or boiled potatoes from dinner to make a ‘breakfast’ omelette, with added cheese & spring onions or parsley. I made breakfast omelette once with left over pesto-covered spaghetti instead of potatoes and it was collectively agreed to be a success by my family.

Boxing day breakfast is leftover Christmas Dinner the full works. And I 3rd trifle - breakfast of the gods.

I’m so glad to read all of these!

I love the idea of using half an Easter egg as a bowl for cereal. I’m going to do that.

I’m completely freaked out because I’m still in bed and was working out if it would be ok to wait till everyone goes out in a bit and then eat left over jam roly poly. We don’t have any custard though, firm believer it must be eaten in 1 sitting.

At Christmas I like Xmas pudding and brandy butter for breakfast.

velocitygirl7 · 08/03/2020 09:23

I've just a huge cuppa and an Easter egg for breakfast.
No shame here, just happiness Grin

On holiday last year we had chocolate ice cream for breakfast. Mainly because we were going home the next day and I didn't want to waste any food.
DC thought it was marvellous as I also allowed marshmallows.

I love leftover takeaway for breakfast.

Unfortunately I have to have carb free stuff now.

Frownette · 08/03/2020 10:01

Love leftover indian.

I'm definitely making a jam roly poly but I'll cheat on the custard and get shop bought

I don't really eat 'breakfast foods' Never have. Abd laods of cuktures just have leftovers.

My secretary at work still takes the piss because i came in once and ate leftover spagetti bolognese.

This morning I had white bread spread with butter and topped with black lumpfish caviar. That was a fairly 'normal' breakfast for me when Iw as working in Russia and used to pick up this sort of sandwich 'butter bread' from a little cafe on the way to work. (My colleagues would take a little shot of Carpathain cognac with it.. I drew the line there!)

Fengshui · 08/03/2020 10:08

that sentence was 'loads of cultures'

Jam roly poly and custard? Surely you meant to put Breakfast of Champions in the thread title, OP. Grin

Imagineering this combination has just made me hungry. We often have left saag paneer when we have takeaway because its only me that really likes it. I’m looking forwards to trying this one.
