Cousin age gap

I was telling someone today that my cousin is 34 years older and they were very shocked. Can anyone beat that? Got a similarly shocking family age gap

No but close - biggest age gap between cousins in my extended family is 30 years.

Large age gaps between cousins are probably not that uncommon though I wouldn't have thought.

My dad's youngest sibling is 'Tom'.
I'm 33 yrs older than Tom's youngest kid, Hattie.

Technically Hattie is 42 yrs younger than my older half brothers (adopted by my dad)

35 years between me and the youngest cousin of my generation. I'm older than half DM's cousins.

I'm 17 years older than DB who is still at university, meanwhile my S/BiLs are in their 50s

My DSs' (paternal) grandma is older than their (maternal) great-grandmas. When they were born, they had a full set of maternal great-grandparents.

My family has habits of having a child young then a large age gap between oldest and youngest siblings which has lead to very jumbled generations. I'm from a string of oldest children so am a generation ahead of myself Added to this, I married the youngest child of a late starter! (Hence MiL being older than my grandmas)

@pontefractals 25 in my mum's! Her eldest sister was pregnant at the same time as her mother so Mum was an aunt when she was a couple of months old.

I think the cousin gap is around thirty years but I've got so many on both sides I don't even know some of their names.

My oldest cousin is 23 years older than me, and my youngest cousin was born when I was in my teens so I’m guessing there’s a similar age gap in my paternal family, OP. Mind, there was a massive gap between the siblings, more than 25 years between the oldest and the youngest.

I can think of someone I know with a 40 year gap.

My Uncle is closer in age to his mother (17 years) than he is to his youngest brother (21 years).

One side of the family my oldest cousin is 40 and youngest is 18 months (8 years between father of oldest and father of youngest)
Other side oldest is 38 and youngest is 4 (11 years between father of oldest and father of youngest).

There’s a 36 year age gap between the oldest and youngest cousins in our family.

Yes very similar in our family, a 34 year age gap between eldest and youngest cousin. My grandparents had a 22 year age gap between eldest and youngest siblings. I quite like it!

There is a 30 year age gap between dd and her oldest cousin.

I have a 23 year age gap between my dd's.

We're the opposite. My mum for a while had 4 grandkids under the age of 2 and a half!

It does make it quite funny when my aunt who is the youngest gets called Aunt by my other older cousins, officially her nieces and nephews who are only 2 or 3 years younger than her.

My dad is one of 14 children, the oldest is 76, youngest 47 (same pair of parents)

58 years between my Dad and his oldest cousin . She died when he was 3. And in the next generation down there were 69 years between the cousin's eldest and me!

Our family has a niece who is 20 years older than her uncle

My dad’s first cousins were all a minimum of 30 years older than him; he had to call them all uncle /aunt but he (and us by extension) was really spoiled by them. On my mum’s side it’s the opposite - she’s the eldest and the youngest of her cousins is just a few months older than me.

38 years here.

Many of my cousins have children who are quite a bit older than me. My eldest cousin is, I think, 35 and years older than me.

I don't actually have any cousins who are close to me in age. I'm the youngest by a long way.
