For me, I often wonder why big organisations may or may not be looking at you NHS don't make sure there is sh#t hot fully trained leadership and managers in post to ensure thing run smoother in the downstream teams?

In private sectors, it appears that time and money is spent ensuring this?

What boggles your brain?

Wow.

Iwonder777 · 05/03/2020 19:47

I'm a lover of the nhs by the way. With intricate knowledge of it. However it does seem to be a common problem. Which does boggle my brain: hence the question.

What will never cease to boggle my brain is that two people having sex can create a human that may live 80 years or so.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 05/03/2020 20:09

"Baby on board" signs niggle me.

Just why?

Confused
Bezalelle · 05/03/2020 20:11

That the universe just goes on and on and on. I can't get my head around it. There must be a wall somewhere. But what is behind the wall???

PrincessHoneysuckle · 05/03/2020 20:12

Death. The fact that I wont wake up one day is too much for me to handle.

Ffsnosexallowed · 05/03/2020 20:14

That people think that NHS problems are down to lack of shit hot fully trained leaders.

TipseyTorvey · 05/03/2020 20:16

The universe for me too. I can't get my head around infinity.

Also the fact that we still don't know every creature that is in the ocean. I dive but am flummoxed that we're just mucking about in the top 1% of the ocean.

CinnabarRed · 05/03/2020 20:18

That trees are most carbon, which they made from carbon dioxide. Which means that trees are made from air. How do they DO that?

CinnabarRed · 05/03/2020 20:18

mostly carbon.

Iwonder777 · 05/03/2020 20:21

Now you've got me thinking 😂

OP posts:
TerrorWig · 05/03/2020 20:23

The infinity of the universe. If I think about it too much I feel weird.

House prices. On a surface level i get than some houses are more desirable than others. But it boggles my mind that my house can be sold for £80k and less than a mile away it’s double that? And the prices in London - wtf!

animaginativeusername · 05/03/2020 20:26

Just how this Earth cane to be, just what enabled the presence of the humans, animals etc after the Big Bang.

leafygarden · 05/03/2020 20:27

How the universe and time started - from one infinitely heavy and small singularity. The Big Bang etc

Blew my mind the first time I read about it, and couldn't sleep all night.

gamerwidow · 05/03/2020 20:28

realising Cameron’s last 5 year fixed term still isn’t up yet.

emelsie · 05/03/2020 20:47

Yes like others have said if I think too much about the universe and where does it end, how? why? are we really put on this earth to live and die?

I wonder if there has/is other life out there , maybe there has been a whole world out there just like ours with life that has developed technology and advances in science and eventually has died out and here we are doing it again somewhere else in the universe.

Kuponut · 05/03/2020 20:51

Trying to make sense of my phonetics lecture notes at present. It's like 60 minutes of someone opening your skull and sticking a stick blender into your brain on high for an experience!

I may have an exam in a few weeks

DappledThings · 05/03/2020 20:55

How long ago the dinosaurs lived and how long for. It's just an incomprehensible amount of time

QueenofallIsee · 05/03/2020 20:56

That the speed of light is such, you can look through a telescope at a star being born and by the time you see it, it will have been born, lived and died. It’s actually looking back in time.

Boggled

PrawnSacrifice · 05/03/2020 20:56

@ChaosTrulyReigns

Baby on board signs are for the emergency services. If there is a significant crash, they know to look for a baby who may be still trapped in or thrown from the vehicle.

AllTheWhoresOfMalta · 05/03/2020 20:56

@gamerwidow oh my God, you’re right! I read this and thought “that can’t possibly be true” and then realised it totally is. Fuck!!

Other than that the usual: death, the sheer size of the universe. Also religion. Or more specifically, people who are really religious. I’m an atheist so can be quite cynical about religion but then I stop and think “but the pope, he REALLY believes in this doesn’t be?” And my mind is a bit blown, both because I can’t fathom at how he can believe it’s real and because I can’t fathom that it might be real. Confusing.

longcoffee · 05/03/2020 21:01

Right now, my brain is being boggled by the fact that my dog sitting watching Crufts is the equivalent to me sitting watching America's Next Top Model.

There's usually bigger stuff, but, well, wine 🤷🏻‍♀️

Definitelycantspell · 05/03/2020 21:01

@Kuponut sorry to be the bearer of bad news...... Phonetics gets worse and worse

I can't think too much or else I panic. But aging boggles me. Like how can you get spots and wrinkles at the same time?

AmericanAdventure · 05/03/2020 21:03

I find faith unfathomable too. But then I also find science pretty unfathomable. I think maybe I'm just a bit thick.

Someone saying to me that the universe is infinite has the same effect on me as someone saying that there is one single God.

I find humans mind-boggling. Our brains and how they work. We're just animals so why the need for the really complex emotions and motivations that cause so many societal problems.

BasilDiffuser · 05/03/2020 21:20

How colours work. It just can’t be true, can it?
