Check your delivery slots if you order your grocery shopping online.

I get my Morrisons shopping delivered every Saturday and to ensure a decent pick of time slots, I order the minimum on a Wednesday and then just edit the order the day before delivery.

I've just received an email from Morrisons advising me that 'due to a much higher than usual demand', they're running out of delivery slots fast. So I went to book and got one of the last available Saturday slots, even though today's only Monday

I suspect it may be Coronavirus related panic buying (although I suppose they might just be short staffed). Either way you might all want to check availability a bit earlier than you normally would.

Ocado was short on next-day slots in my area (unusual). It was also entirely out of UHT milk of every shape, size and description. Otherwise seemed well-stocked, but I didn’t look for tins, pasta etc.

I usually make my Ocado order on Tues evenings.

No slots before Friday, it said, and then when I tried to reserve the one I wanted, I got an error message

I went to the supermarket today and it was near empty. True it was a Tuesday morning, but that’s when I normally go and there are always lots of people. I think lots are doing online shopping rather than going into shops.

Waitrose delivery driver said its gone crazy this week.

Morrisons online is usually pretty good as it shows what is out of stock as you are doing your order.

Today's order came minus the dettol wipes id ordered, which had been on offer.
Amazon has them on a bulk buy offer at moment, but not in stock until 1st April.

just reserved my usual slot for next week. Missed it this week as they were all gone, and far fewer than usual available for next week too.

remember they can only predict if it will stil b avaialble.if people continue to panic buy it wont be there next week.

I know, but always been impressed at how often everything is delivered as ordered, unlike Tesco and its array of missing items and substitutions.

Had no issues with my Ocado shop. Booked a slot the next day and everything was delivered with no subs.
Plenty available now as well so looks like its area specific.

Tesco deliveries booked up until next week, but the car park at the big Tesco near us was practically deserted.

This is not helping me. I have now got cellulitis in both legs and don't feel up to wandering around the dratted supermarkets.

I got the same email. I do the same, book a slot and then edit until the deadline - think I’ll do my shop and use the one click add button.

I’ve reserved a slot each week until the end of the month!
