Evening dress you can't wear a bra with, and E cup bosoms! Help!

I've bought this dress for a do later this week, but cant figure out what to do with my tatas.

A bra will show through the lace panel, (as does underboob, if not supported) and stick on bras dont appear to be for the more generously proportioned.

What shall I dooooooooooo?

Personally, I would go with a long line bra in a gloriously bright colour (electric blue would look amazing) and make a real feature out of that lace panel

That's a lovely dress , where is it from?
How about a bra vest style top

Friend of mine who recently got married used tape instead of a bra under her dress. There are tutorials online of how to do it, she used sports tape but said some people use duct tape which sounds painful.

MrsGrindah · 01/03/2020 17:58

What on earth made you buy it if you didn’t know how you were going to wear it?

MrsGrindah · 01/03/2020 17:59

Sorry didn’t mean to sounds snarky..just meant I’d be thinking about that before buying

WelcomeToTheMountaintop · 01/03/2020 18:01

is it my phone or does that lace panel just look like she has a really hairy chest?

(Im sure it looks fine IRL)

I agree with pp. Contrast colour bra.

Andcake · 01/03/2020 18:01

Tbh I'm with the why didn't you think of this before you bought it camp. Lovely dress but any bra showing will ruin it. Can you buy something else

NotYourHun · 01/03/2020 18:03

If your breasts are that large that you can’t wear a stick on bra you probably aren’t actually an E cup which in reality is not especially large. Have you done boob or bust?

I managed to use a stick on bra with my sizeable (32GG) pregnancy boobs for what it’s worth so it might be worth a try!

endofthelinefinally · 01/03/2020 18:03

Could you take the dress with you to a specialist underwear shop?

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 01/03/2020 18:04

Buy a different dress... that one is made for the flat chested

Grembolina · 01/03/2020 18:06

I wore a byebra with a very plunging top and went to a 12 hour rave. The girls stayed up the whole time, 34 E cup.

MsVestibule · 01/03/2020 18:07

@mrsgrindah I agree! As a fellow large breasted woman (although I'm a G 🙄) I would never in a million years have bought this! Although OP, it is a beautiful dress, I hope you find something suitable to wear underneath.

I've seen something that would be suitable on a FB ad recently - I'll do a quick search and will report back if I find anything.

E cup which in reality is not especially large

Surely that depends on your back size? It could be.

Bringonspring · 01/03/2020 18:09

You can get stick on cups for E cup, or you can get a flesh coloured bra which goes down to the waist, eg so fully behind the lace section.

PerspicaciaTick · 01/03/2020 18:12

I'd go for a nude sheer/lacy bra, Empreinte have some very pretty delicate designs which I think would almost disappear under the black lace panel.

Bringonspring · 01/03/2020 18:12

This isn’t the right side but something like this

AnneKipanki · 01/03/2020 18:40

Different dress?

AnneKipanki · 01/03/2020 18:43

AnneKipanki · 01/03/2020 18:44

Sorry , pic did not load but byebra have something in a 34 E .

Sparkletastic · 01/03/2020 18:48

Bra and slip - black out the see-through bit

ShirleyPhallus · 01/03/2020 18:48

Beautiful dress, and I’ve bought several things which I haven’t thought through the practicalities or because sometimes it’s nice to have beautiful things and know it’s nice before dealing with the consideration of how to strap your boobs in.

I’ve had similar dresses and sewn a small piece of skin colour / bright colour fabric in place and then worn a normal bra. Or wear a longline bra in black or nude which won’t show through.

Kim K swears by tit tape and loads of tutorials online

Deathraystare · 02/03/2020 15:05

I am a 38F and would not consider tit tape. My girls would end up crushing the tit tape and I would be most uncomfortable!
