Do you experience ASMR?

I'm interested to know how many of you experience ASMR? I do, but haven't met anyone else who does (not that I've asked many others - just family members)

Yes I do. Soft spoken female voices, tapping and massage/ pampering videos are my main triggers. I also like show and tell type stuff with things being described in loads of detail.

Gentlewhispering, Itsblitzz and Love Today are my faves although the latter doesn't seem to upload anymore.

In real life the Nurse Practitioner at my surgery has the loveliest voice and such a relaxing manner, she sends me into a trance. I see her for my blood pressure and I'm sure just being in the room with her lowers it!

The long nails tapping on a keyboard is heaven.

“Soften and widen” refers to shoulders/back/torso” 😁

I understand the reference to sandwich breath ☺️

Are you sure @JillAmanda Grin

Namechangerextrodinaire · 02/03/2020 18:29

Grin DD2 who is 8 experiences ASMR!

The problem were having is she seeks out the tingles at school for example when her teacher taps the whiteboard with false nails, bags being dragged across radiators, kids running water to make drinks etc which is distracting her massively in class.

With all that said she is on the adhd pathway.

This lady, whilst being an utter woo nonsense peddler, has a very relaxing Voice.

Rhodes2015again · 03/03/2020 02:52

I use to experience it loads as a child.
My mum hoovering or the sound of the washing machine (twin tub at that time)
It made me feel really safe, sleepy and relaxed.
I do watch asmr videos now if I’m struggling to relax/go to sleep

Crinkle77 · 06/03/2020 12:31

@PerfidiousAlbion if you like soft high female voices try listening to Andrea Foulkes. She used to do regression on This Morning and her voice would give me the tingles and sent me to sleep once. Bliss!

I like rain sounds, they are relaxing but just don't give that tingle.
