My children are swimmers and for years I have battled with swimming pool showers, queuing, attempting to get conditioner out of their hair etc and putting clothes back on to damp bodies it has been a real lowlight of my week.

Now I just dry them off, chuck those towel hoodies over them, stick crocs on their feet and shower them at home. For me it has been a game-changer and I WISH I had done this from the start.

What tip would have made your life easier?

Don't ask them - tell them.

DH often gets in a muddle because "I asked them who wants a bath first and they both said they wanted a bath second and I didn't know what to dooooo!"

Also there being three possible things for tea in the fridge: A which needs eating today, as it's on its last day, and B and C which are meals planned for later in the week. Instead of just cooking A and saying " Here's yer dinner," DH asks them what they would like . . . so one chooses B and one chooses C, and we end up with half a portion of B, half a portion of C and a double unusable portion of A.

@BrightonBB I hope it changes your life as much as it has changed mine. I just wish we had done it years earlier.
