He and I are not at that stage yet but I suspect it will be a short engagement if it comes to pass. I've been engaged before and it didn't actually turn into a marriage. So I already have a big rock sitting in my jewellery box and no desire to bother with that again.

If you didn't bother with an engagement ring, do you have a much blingier band to make up for it?

I have an engagement ring but haven’t worn it since my fingers swelled during my 1st pregnancy, it was a size smaller than my plain 18ct gold wedding band.

Mine looks like Bezalelle's its a plain narrow gold band, I chose it as it looked like my Nanas and I liked hers.
I have a solitaire Diamond, I've worn it less than a dozen times, I like plain not bling.

Mine is white gold with yellow gold edges with small diamonds going around it.

@KenzoBaby thank you. I didn't want an engagement ring but wanted something a little different with a pattern and bit of sparkle.
It was from Ernest Jones so not as expensive as Tiffany for sure!

I only wear a wedding ring. It's a platinum band with diamonds running around it in a squiggly way (hard to explain!). We got it from Alba Rose but they've closed down now.

It was really expensive and took up a big wedge of our budget- £2,500 but I have no regrets as I LOVE it and will (hopefully) be wearing it forever.

Also OP I was the same as you. I've been engaged before and had the big rock and realised I didn't want to do that again. So went straight to a wedding ring.

I also gave my old engagement ring to a charity shop! It felt like good karma.

Hey OP, if you like Tiffany, have a look at their Metro range. I love these bands (although they won’t fit with my engagement ring, so I think I’m going for a plain wedding band and might get one of these for my other hand)

I've this eternity band as a wedding ring. No engagement ring. I love jewels and couldn't decide so just went for one ring.

mine's a plain 18carat gold band was my great grandmothers made in 1912, never wanted a engagement ring

I went for a compromise and had a cheap engagement ring that I could then use on another finger as a dress ring for special occasions. I occasionally wear it.

I then had a more expensive ring made for my wedding, but over the past 20 years, my fingers got too fat for that (I was under 7st when I got married!) so for my 40th birthday my dh bought me another ring which I now wear on my wedding finger. My original wedding ring is on my small finger. Unfortunately because it's two metals, it couldn't be enlarged.

That's mine but weirdly enough we aren't actually engaged he just happened to "accidentally " buy a bridal set 😂

Forgot to say I don't normally wear my original wedding ring, I put it in just for the photo!
