What to cook with sausages?

How do you eat yours?! 😂
As in- what do you serve with your bangers?

I am making a sausage, tomato and lentil stew tonight which we will be having with mash.

Mash! What else?! Maybe cheesy mash if we're ringing the changes.

Or a sausage casserole is always good.

With Yorkshire’s from the freezer if I can’t be bothered to do toad in the hole

How would you do a sausage casserole, what else would you add?

Nigel Slater has a lovely pasta recipe with sausages, cream and mustard for when I fancy something really indulgent. Serve with a bitter green salad.

Mash with cooked onions mashed in (don't knock it till you tried it lol)

Green veg usually those thin flat green bean things can't remember what they r called!

Sausage casserole: sausages, peppers, carrots, onion, tinned tomatoes, wine, paprika, seasoning.

Sausages are awesome with cauliflower cheese, or celeriac mash or mashed potato and neeps (add nutmeg).

We also roast them with onions and peppers or sweet potatoes or squash.

I do sausage and leeks in a creamy cheesy sauce with pasta

Cut 2 up and fry to seal them (with onions, mushrooms & peppers if you like ) add cooked pasta and stir in a tomato pasta sauce or pesto.

You can’t beat sausage, egg, chips and beans. Obviously you can make a nice healthy casserole but sausages are best enjoyed with a over easy egg and fluffy chips (and bread and butter).

My DC's favourite Sausages (cooked and chopped into chunks), pasta, bolognese sauce, all mixed together with cheese grated on top

I like them with a baked potato and salad like it's a barbecue

Also love sausage casserole.
I add potato, suede, carrot, red onion and leeks.

Swede and potato mash, marrow fat peas and lashings of onion gravy.

Bubble and squeak.
Fried eggs, baked beans.
Wrap them in puff pastry.
Chop them up and add to pasta.

(I use veggie sausages in casserole - trick is to overcook them & than place (throw ) ingredients into slow cooker -like toms onions capsicum beans cumin coriander paprika Worcester sauce - yes I know it has anchovies- & mixed herbs & whatever else is in the fridge) & jacket pots et al

Or in a stew with leek carrot and celery with canellini beans and tomatoes plus smoked paprika.
