Very important oven question - please vote!

Designing our kitchen. Due to restrictions everything oven-wise needs to be in one tower. We are a family of 4 (well we will be once baby has arrived).

Would you:

1. Have a double oven with a combi microwave above
2. Have a double oven with a normal microwave above
3. Have a single oven with a combi microwave above.

I love the neff slide and hide oven but it doesnt come in a double...

I have a single oven with a combi on top.

Havent used the combi as an oven yet!

I have the Neff slide and hide single oven, with a Neff single oven with microwave above. Works perfectly well and I've never needed anything else (at least not so far!)

Hm this is very helpful. Our friends swear having 3 ovens will change our lives...

I have 2 ovens and no microwave!

@BIWI can you link to combi neff please, does it need hardwiring? . Have a hide n slide single already.

We've got a Neff Slide & Hide with a compact Neff above it & a separate microwave. Works well for us. I was planning on a compact one with microwave built in but due to supply issues when we did our kitchen couldn't get what we wanted at the time.

Is a combi microwave one with a grill inside???

I'd go with option 2. Or even just get a normal sized oven with a grill inside and a normal microwave.

I would vote for an oven, combi oven and microwave, or a double oven and microwave. I have a combi microwave oven - it doesn’t work as well as a regular microwave oven (maybe because it just has wire racks instead of a rotating plate?), and I haven’t ever needed to use it as an oven. With 2 ovens and a microwave it’s possible to knock out roast lunch for 15 people although it takes a bit of planning re timings and is easier if you spatchcock a couple of chickens so they can be fitted in one oven so you can do roasties etc in the other. What are your friends cooking that makes them need 3 ovens?

We have this and it works nicely. The combi is a microwave, oven and grill and I use it as an oven on a regular basis.

Been struggling with same question. Single ovens seem better and can get pyrolytic lining. But still think we will end up getting double oven and microwave above i.e. option 2

Yeah that's what I'm thinking - the single oven would be better...

@Lovemornings I think they use one to heat plates!!

I’ve got two self cleaning singles side by side and a normal cheap microwave on the worktop ( micro rarely used)

I have a Neff combi above a Neff slide and hide oven. They're great, although I don't use the combi as a microwave, because I also have a microwave in the pantry that I use.

Theres 7 of us, and never have I used the microwave as anything but a microwave.
Even when feeding 20 at christmas.
