Designing our kitchen. Due to restrictions everything oven-wise needs to be in one tower. We are a family of 4 (well we will be once baby has arrived).

Would you:

  1. Have a double oven with a combi microwave above
  2. Have a double oven with a normal microwave above
  3. Have a single oven with a combi microwave above.

I love the neff slide and hide oven but it doesnt come in a double...

Option 2 but buy the Neff warming drawer as well. It's great

@NeverGotMyPuppy This is the set up we have. Although the kitchen is (recently extended) reasonably large, having the microwave built-in leaves more worktop space. We don't have a kettle for the same reason, but had a Quooker installed instead.

Three ovens sounds fantastic - but in reality I'm not sure when I'd ever have the need for them. But if you have a big enough kitchen, and you cook a lot/for a lot of people, then why not?!

Ouch, that is more than we paid for our existing oven! Is there a non pyrolytic version.

A well positioned single oven. If I was taller I’d go for the combi oven/microwave above, but I’m really short (not quite 5ft) so it’s too dangerous for me really. I’ve seen them underneath, but I don’t fancy it. My microwave gave up (it’s done well, it was given to me 10 years ago and far from new then) I don’t miss having one so the new kitchen won’t have one fitted in. If I decide I do want one I’ll just put one one the worktop

All my family/friends with a double oven say they wished they’d got the single -biggest complaint is just the lack of space for a big item in either bit of the double.

Envious of eye level oven though - due to stupid size/shape kitchen we can’t have one - well not if we want a full height fridge - and I do. I’m FED UP of under counter.

And if I could have one it would be neff H&S 100%

I have option 3. It works well
MiL has option 3 as well but her old microwave is in the garage for occasions when the combi oven is in use

NeverGotMyPuppy · 22/02/2020 09:13

Thanks everyone. I think we r going to go for option 3

I have a double oven and a combi microwave. I have never used the microwave as a conventional oven in the past 6 years of having it. Not even on Christmas Day.

Shamazing · 22/02/2020 09:18

And if we were doing it again, I wouldn't bother with the microwave either, it's used about once in a blue moon.

Bicnod · 22/02/2020 09:20

We have option 3 - Neff hide and slide with Neff combi above. I did Christmas lunch for 13 and it was fine Xmas Grin

The combi is amazing - perfect jacket spuds in 15 mins...

desperatehousewife2 · 22/02/2020 09:49

Option 2

NeverGotMyPuppy · 22/02/2020 13:11

You've all been very helpful- thank u!

Last question - the oven will be up higher, probably about waist height- will H&S really make a difference?

BIWI · 22/02/2020 14:28

I love the H&S feature - it really does make it so much easier putting things in/taking them out.

AlunWynsKnee · 23/02/2020 12:33

One thing I didn't consider was cleaning. Our combi is at a height that means I can't actually reach the back of it to clean easily but if we had a H&S door on it, I probably could.
