Bob Dylan. My dad is obsessed, saw him lots in the early days. He, and I will be gutted when he dies.

Paul Wellor, same reason but for my partner

MeatLoaf. Love him, his music. I’ll be so sad when he dies..

The Queen, Michael Palin and Maggie Smith

Figgygal · 20/02/2020 21:01

The queen

Anyone else dies my life goes on when the queen dies it will change the country we all live in right down to the money we use

LuluJakey1 · 20/02/2020 21:02

Elton John would not be on my list, nor Stephen Fry.

I think the thing about people in their 90s is that they have been part of our lives and our culture for all of our lives. I don't even know who Kobe is- someone above mentioned Kobe. For me it is people who have been around for my childhood, growing up and adulthood. I can't remember a time without them.

CryHavoc · 20/02/2020 21:06

What a weird thread. We're all going to die. 'Dreading' is such a loaded word - I'm certainly not looking forward to anyone dying, but I don't think I'm dreading anyone famous who I've never met dying either. Morbid as fuck.

BobbyBlueCat · 20/02/2020 21:10

Bruce Springsteen.
The Queen.

katy1213 · 20/02/2020 21:16

I don't know any famous people so I guess I'll take it on the chin no matter who pops their clogs.

MissEliza · 20/02/2020 21:22

The Queen and David Attenborough

myplateisfullenoughthanks · 20/02/2020 21:23

Her Maj
Attenborough and
David Jason - my heart will break

Growingboys · 20/02/2020 21:32

The Queen. I really fear for the future of our country after she goes.

SweetestThing · 20/02/2020 21:35

Paul Simon. He is the soundtrack to my life.

CallofDoodee · 20/02/2020 21:38

I'm another one who will be sad when David Attenborough goes, but I'm also not looking forward to the inevitable ridiculous outpouring of 'grief' on social media when it happens. It will be unprecedented!

CallofDoodee · 20/02/2020 21:39

Especially the race to be the first to share the 'breaking news' article about it.

CaptainMyCaptain · 20/02/2020 21:39

There will certainly be some changes to the monarchy when the Queen goes. It might be better but a big change to what you've always known can be daunting. I'm 65, governments and prime ministers have come and gone but the Queen has been a constant.

David Jason seems to have been a major influence on a lot of people's lives. I don't really get it but you feel what you feel.

Echobelly · 20/02/2020 21:42

The Queen because there will be loads of tedious faff for weeks because of it

GlitchStitch · 20/02/2020 21:48

Dick van Dyke because I love him.

The Queen because it will be so strange, she's always been there.

timetest · 20/02/2020 21:48

KenDodd · 20/02/2020 21:57

The Queen.

I'm no royalist, not by a long way but I fear if the queen dies there might be a further power grab by the Johnson/Cummings government.

FloreanFortescue · 20/02/2020 22:00

The Queen Star
David Attenborough Bear
Mary Berry Cake

ThanosSavedMe · 20/02/2020 22:06

Well you can all stop worrying about David Attenborough because it’s simply not going to happen. Ever. Nope. [sticks fingers in ears and sings la la la la la la la la]

SunshineCake · 20/02/2020 22:06

Obviously not before I posted Hmm. Didn't see there were more pages

LyndaSnellsSniff · 20/02/2020 22:06

This very notion first occurred to me after Ronnie Barker died. I remember thinking how sad it’ll be when Ronnie Corbett dies and Victoria Wood! Both gone now. 🥺

Of those still with us,

Kate Bush
Stevie Nicks
Stephen Fry
Hugh Laurie
Rowan Atkinson
Zoe Ball

ThunderR0ad78 · 20/02/2020 22:07

Bruce Springsteen.

The thought of him retiring is enough to send me into despair, never mind him passing away!! Sad

LyndaSnellsSniff · 20/02/2020 22:09

Oh blimey, also Johnny Ball!
