Dull question. Where do you keep your dirty wash basket?

I’ve just had new wardrobes fitted and being bigger than what I had before, means I’ve lost the space I previously kept my basket.
I don’t know where to put it now! No room in the bathroom. I’m at a loss!
What are your solutions?

I have one in both bedrooms, one in bathroom and one in the kitchen!

Yummymummy2020 · 17/02/2020 20:33

I have it out in the open in my room and it looks crap so I’ll be interested to hear any other suggestions myself 😂😂😂

SlightlySleepy · 17/02/2020 20:35

Kitchen, in the cupboard next to the washing machine

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 17/02/2020 20:36

Bathroom, I'm afraid...

minipie · 17/02/2020 20:36

Bathroom
Kids one is on the landing (we bought a nice looking one specially)

happytoday73 · 17/02/2020 20:37

No dirty washing basket. I put the dirty washing straight into the washing machine. I put everything on a short 40 wash when it's full enough.

AvocadoLovingMamaOfOne · 17/02/2020 20:38

In the landing, as no room in the bathroom

TheFlis12345 · 17/02/2020 20:38

Currently in the bathroom but used to be actually in the wardrobe.

Thewalker75 · 17/02/2020 20:39

On the landing. No room in bedroom and I don’t really like the thought of sleeping in a room with our dirty washing in.

OverByYer · 17/02/2020 20:40

No space on the land. Might have to use the —junk— spare room

Two in the bedroom, one light, one dark.

VerbenaGirl · 17/02/2020 20:42

Ours is on the landing, as we all use it - but we do have quite a square landing, so it fits well. In our last house that wouldn’t have worked at all, and we were always shuffling our pop up one around. Can you get any sack type ones that hang over a door?

topcat2014 · 17/02/2020 20:42

On the landing. It is a quarter cylinder shape and fits nicely in the corner

Mamato2gorgeousboys · 17/02/2020 20:42

We have one in each bedroom.

Toomanycats99 · 17/02/2020 20:43

We have a downstairs bathroom so anything generated from there goes straight in the machine. Anything generated upstairs goes in the basket in my bedroom

TrickyKid · 17/02/2020 20:45

One in the wardrobe and one on the bathroom. Kids have them in their rooms too

OverByYer · 17/02/2020 20:47

Quarter cylinder one could work. Have bought sacks for the kids rooms. How difficult can it be?

I hated having my washing machine in the kitchen (also I wanted a dishwasher and there's no room for both) so I moved it upstairs into a cupboard in the hallway by the bathroom. On the shelves above I have 4 IKEA recycling tubs (colours, white, darks, delicates) and everything goes straight in there. When a tub is fullish, I put a wash on. I can't overstate how much I love my new system and how much time and mess it saves me.

Dull question. Where do you keep your dirty wash basket?
smeerf · 17/02/2020 20:57

Oh, I thought I'd attached a photo - trying again?

Kitchen cupboard next to washing machine on a shelf, recycling below and washing tablets etc on shelf above.

itbemay1 · 17/02/2020 20:58

Wow @smeerf that's next level organisation!

fartyface · 17/02/2020 21:00

so much double handling smeef.

I dont think it needs to be so complicated.

one basket in the bathroom.
stuff on the floor near the machine sometimes too.

MrsLJ2014 · 17/02/2020 21:01

Utility room, next to washing machine (pretty much the only things that fit in there!!)

Lipperfromchipper · 17/02/2020 21:04

Mine is inside a cupboard in the walk in wardrobe, my laundry room is on the other side of my wardrobe and so we had the dirty wash basket put on rails and it goes through into the laundry room cupboard so I can empty it from that side!!

Pascha · 17/02/2020 21:05

No baskets here, everyone has a laundry bag hanging on their bedroom door. When it's full it comes down and is emptied directly into the machine except the school shirts which are pulled out for a whites wash.
