Weird things you’ve found on Rightmove...

Currently pondering a move so have been looking at local houses.

Today I have seen:

• the weirdest covered garden
• a bedroom with a confederate flag on the wall (not what you expect to see in Dorset)

Also saw a Barbecue hut but that was awesome rather than weird

I once saw a photo of a bathroom where there was an armchair facing the toilet - not a commode, like a lazy boy type recliner. Opposite the toilet.

I saw one where the lawn obviously wasn't up to scratch and they had just coloured in green over the top. Not photoshop quality more like Microsoft paint. I wish I'd screenshot it because by the time I went to show dh the pic had gone. It just made me imagine the newest person at the estate agent thinking 'hmm nailed it' as they tried to make the garden look better for the Rightmove ad then 20 mins later their boss demanding it gets taken back down.

Anyway this isn't the picture but it was exactly this effect.

No picture sadly but I did see one once where someone had taken a photograph of the patio doors and there was a very disgruntled looking dog peering in from outside.

There was a website with strange, disturbing and funny property photos. I can't remember the name but it was American.
The picture I particularly remember was a swastika tiled into the shower cubicle

We hadn’t told people we were moving (all very sudden) but my friend recognised our house by the cross stitch she had made appearing in one of the pictures!

@bilbodog It's actually quite nice, apart from the tartan stair carpet. It think the problem is that it's too big for a holiday let or to retire into. The location pushes the price about 100k more than it would be worth 2 miles away.

There was a weird house in my local area a year or so ago where the whole home had animal heads everywhere and animals adorned on things and real animal rugs. Looked like a dead zoo or something. One of those trophy hunter baffoons would have loved it

I still think about the one with all the plug sockets.

One to rent in our local area the pictures of the house were gross! The house was filthy and so much crap in each room! Piled high with complete shit!

Ha, @DisgraceToTheYChromosome - that’s exactly the one I was going to link to! The weirdest thing is how relatively normal (except the ironing board and tanning bed) the rest of the photos are.

WTF is under the bedding?

No picture but we saw one local to us where the ‘ensuite’ was just a toilet and shower in the corner of the master bedroom. No walls around it.

I actually quite like the idea of a covered garden in the UK. Alfresco dining all year round. Might be cozy like a green house too 🤔.

@enjoyingscience I'm intrigued by the listing date, I'm sure it's been up for sale before. We moved in end of 2018, and it was coming up in searches when we started looking.

I quite fancy a covered garden right now, the weather is so shit. That roof looks like it might blow away this weekend though
