In London I find it’s quite calm… How’s the storm hit yet? I’m supposed to go out on a course today, and I’m wondering if it will get very bad this morning…

Kitty the storm is due from any time now depending on where you live, and for the next three days!

gerbo · 15/02/2020 09:20

Grey skies, light rain, just breezy here in Hertfordshire.

Hellokittymania · 15/02/2020 09:25

Waiting for Dennis, Ha ha ha. I love your name… Although not the storm… Thank you for the update. I just heard the first gust of wind here. If it picks up like it did last Sunday, I’m not going to risk going out.

Kitty the wind will be almost as bad but it's the rain which is such a worry this time. So much falling on already saturated ground and rivers full. Whereabouts are you roughly?

Waitingfordennis · 15/02/2020 09:28

Wind is relentless too, now until around teatime tomorrow without a break ..

Hellokittymania · 15/02/2020 09:34

I am in North London, so it’s still pretty calm… But any kind of strange weather can be a bit of a challenge for me… Highwinds get very scary because they blow things around and I can’t see them coming… So if the wind is very high, I don’t go out…

Not to mention I’m barely 40 kg… My friend told me that last week and she was waiting for a bus, and she was being blown around… And she’s a lot heavier than I am… There’s no way I would have gone out…

Herefordshire - very very windy. raining but not torrential yet

Strugglingtodomybest · 15/02/2020 09:39

Absolutely pissing it down and blowing a gale here in Cornwall. Mind you, it has been for weeks!

MaidenMotherCrone · 15/02/2020 09:42

Not so calm now.

Hellokittymania · 15/02/2020 10:04

Has anyone in London noticed the wind picking up slightly?

OP posts:
Xiaoxiong · 15/02/2020 10:27

A bit breezy in Windsor, not enough to call it a stiff breeze. Planes taking off fine overhead.

Xiaoxiong · 15/02/2020 10:28

Also getting brighter and saw a break in the clouds just now

TopBitchoftheWitches · 15/02/2020 10:33

Wind is picking up here in North Essex.

Paperdolly · 15/02/2020 10:55

I can hear it outside a little but I’ve decided to treat myself to the luxury of staying in bed for now. DH brought me porridge and a cuppa earlier,

Paperdolly · 15/02/2020 10:56

Do you think I aught to shower before we have the power cut? (Dorset)

iswhois · 15/02/2020 11:00

Wind is picking up in Kent, but dry for the moment although a bit cold

Waxonwaxoff0 · 15/02/2020 11:42

Wind has picked up a bit. I have to go out this afternoon.

JellyfishandShells · 15/02/2020 11:45

SW London - The birds clinging to the aerials on the row of houses opposite have given up and flown to something less bouncy.

ScorpionQueen · 15/02/2020 11:57

Somerset
Pissing down and windy. The dog loved it but I didn't.

Freeshavocado · 15/02/2020 11:58

Still dry in Leeds, there was about half an hour of heavy rain earlier but it's stopped now and still no wind

MidsomerBurgers · 15/02/2020 12:04

Wet and windy (although not as bad as last weekend) here in the Black Country.

Xiaoxiong · 15/02/2020 12:06

Just had a couple of really big gusts, it's definitely picking up a bit.

Chottie · 15/02/2020 12:06

The wind is picking up here in SE London....

dustibooks · 15/02/2020 12:07

A bit blustery, but not too bad, and spitting with rain. Bedfordshire.
