What has been your low point today/this week?

I have a cold because germs are the only thing small children share freely
a sore back/hips because I thought I'd be clever and go on the trampolines with the kids at the weekend and lifting said small children in and out of car/pushchair/high chairs
my period

but the cherry on the cake was sitting down with DS at bed time and bashed my head not once but twice (either side). I did cry into my Lemsip at that point

Finding out that my DS with SN (13 but tiny) had been in floods of tears at school and no-one helped him. When I told DH he started crying too

Having to dump my bf cuz hes a cheeky fucker and then my tv broke so i cant even lie on the sofa watching romcoms feeling sorry for myself.

My mum taking a massive step back in terms of recovering from the death of my dad 16 months ago.

Such a shock to see her like that again suddenly.

Realising that I'm not at all cut out for the job I am doing. Thankfully my contract ends in the summer so I'll be looking to change into a different work stream even though it will most likely mean changing companies.

My colleagues are fab and are keen for me to renew my contract but I can't do this anymore.

Yet another grant for research funding rejected. I nl know not massive in the grand scheme of things but I am sick of being stuck at my level but just can't bring in the big grants I need to progress. Wil keep trying though.

An old school friend of DP died at age 35 ( he hasn’t seen her for 20 years) I was sympathetic at first but my nerves are wearing thin. he’s been argumentative since. Today he got in a strop over some bloody bread rolls, because I’d asked him for a bloomer if they had one, he came back with bread rolls and I said I would just have normal rolls bread as not keen on the rolls and he had a strop. Then in the supermarket he has a hissy fit over how busy it was and wanted to leave the shopping and walk out causing DS who has asd to almost have a meltdown because he wanted his shopping and he doesn’t usually go out so was anxious as it was, he then had an argument with a knob who called my son a spaz, was warranted but DS got more anxious because of the shouting. He was fine for a few hours and now just when I was putting the kids to bed he started getting more argumentative over literally nothing. It was on the tip of my tongue to tell him to fuck off because he’d set my ibs off because of the stress. He threatened to leave about 4 times this morning and I just told him go then. So yeah had a pretty shitty day

Enormous Sorry about your flights to Thailand. We are off there in the summer, coronavirus permitting, and I only just got travel insurance as I have pre-existing medical issues and hospital tests so had to get specialist. Good job I hadn't booked China. Enjoy your cocktails at home and this fine English weather. Who were the flights with? We have EVAAir and AirAsia.
