Omg.. I don’t know what to do. Currently on a sleeper train home.

Assumed dd4 would be ok on top bunk as they have saftey bars.

She’s just fell in her sleep!! Massive thud. She cried obviously but is still asleep.

Wtf do I do??

Cat scan? 999?

Do people really think like this?!

kirinm · 11/02/2020 09:24

Good god the responses on this thread. Read the NHS guidelines. Just keep an eye on her. If she cried that's good, if she isn't being sick or drowsy that's also good. If you think she's behaving differently then contact 111. I'm sorry but suggesting you race to A&E for a CT scan is fucking bonkers.

AlexaAmbidextra · 11/02/2020 09:41

999? CT Scan?

You can clearly see why A&E departments are so mis-used reading some of the madness on here.

eeyore228 · 11/02/2020 09:45

They don't just hand out CT scans unless medically required, particularly children. They very often observe. Radiation is high and they do not expose children to this unnecessarily!

She’s been absolutely fine but this morning she says her back hurts. Do I take her to the walk in clinic?

If she isn't dizzy, vomiting or having blurred vision I would leave it, personally.

smashstore · 12/02/2020 08:36

Yes I would take her.

AlexaAmbidextra · 12/02/2020 08:56

I think it’s likely that anyone’s back would hurt if they fell from a height of 5 feet. Is the pain bad? Is it at the top near her neck? I’d be tempted to watch and wait unless she’s distressed.

Makinganewthinghappen · 12/02/2020 09:17

My kids have fallen off the top bunk of our bunk bed once or twice tbh unless she seems unwell today or her back pain is anything other than what you would expect from a bump like that I wouldn’t worry at all.

Sherloidbaisherloid · 12/02/2020 09:18

I would take her, just for your own peace of mind as you are obviously worried about it. Won’t do any harm to get her checked!
