What colour are my eyes? (Photo attached)

My eyes vary between green, blue and brown depending on the lighting and what clothes im wearing.

Last night I had to fill in a form which asked my eye colour and I put hazel. Dh thinks I should put green instead.

What would you call it

Hazel although I wouldn't quibble with green either!
I bet they look different colours in different lights like most peoples do.
My eyes are hazel but some people say they're brown.

My eyes are like yours op except they never go as far as blue - but all sorts of green, khaki, brown, beige, Sherry, Amber, yellow, grey...

I usually go for ‘not blue, not black, but everything else in between...’.

For your first pic I’d go for greeny browny hazel.

It sounds like it should be such an easy question and it’s so not.

I thought Hazel was brown. Although you have a littke brown in the middle the rest looks green to me.

Hazel. Mine are similar, but the main part is greenish-grey.

I'm glad that I came across this thread. I've got brown eyes. DP has blue eyes. I've no idea what colour dd has because they change all the time. I hadn't come across this before so nice to know its fairly common.

Your dd is most likely to have brown eyes

@dippdipdo dd's eyes are definitely not brown; they're nothing like mine. Sometimes they look blueish; sometimes they look greenish.

I think people say green and not hazel because they think hazel means brown, it doesn't. Hazel is that spectrum of greeny bluey eyes with a circle of brown/gold, and can go from green to brown predominantly.

OP, you look like you have something called central heterochromia (two different colours in the same iris).

I have the same thing, it's harmless and kind of cool.

They look blue/green to me, with brown around the pupil. I doubt there's a box for that on forms I think the PP who said aqua might be closest!
I describe my eyes as hazel and they are a mix of orangey brown and green. Nothing like yours so I wouldn't describe yours as hazel.

Hmm. Google tells me you can have hazel brown eyes and hazel green eyes, who knew?! In that case maybe mine are hazel brown and yours are hazel green. I still think yours are more green/blue than hazel, though.

I don't think you have enough brown to be hazel. They are more grey than brown.
