Dirty fries, only thing that you can’t get elsewhere. Aldi do a poor impersonation of them.

Overseasmom100 · 04/02/2020 13:18

As others have said hot cross buns are sticky and lovely. I also like:

Round stonebaked garlic bread
Proper chicken breast kievs - from the Gastro range
The curries are thick and lush as well - we like the Chicken Jalfrezi
Piri Piri sliced chicken
Lamb Koftas
Fruit aisle also has some lovely William pears at the mo - fresh and juicy ready to eat

Oakham chickens are lovely as well

The gastro pub mini old peculiar and steak pies with their frozen triple cooked beef dripping chips is a great old fashioned dinner

Country cake
Hot cross buns
Their fruit is all lovely
Their individual deli cheese scones NOT the pre packed ones
There is a king prawn bucatini thing that’s nice
Their Chinese is good too
The dirty fries
Fresh juice
Any of their deli things especially the antipasto and tapas

YY to the Gastro chicken kievs.

We got a gift card for Christmas and we used it for the NYE meal deal including chicken kievs and they were indeed very good.

stophuggingme · 04/02/2020 13:24

My three children reliable inform me their chocolate chip cookies are the best ever
I wouldn’t have a clue 😉

inwood · 04/02/2020 13:26

The chicken Kievs! Absolutely. I quite like the 3 for £7 deal on sliced chicken / picnic food. Peri Peri is good.

Their ready meals aren't great.

APatchyTomCat · 04/02/2020 13:28

The individual syrup sponge puddings. I’ve just worked out I’ve been buying those for nearly 30 years Shock

tickticktickboom · 04/02/2020 14:01

Dates stuffed with nuts and marzipan. Heaven in a box

ALemonyPea · 04/02/2020 14:08

Breaded chicken, katsu flavour, 3 for £10.
Dirty fries

socksandshoes1 · 04/02/2020 14:10

Their sweets are great, I love the giant mint buttons and cookie dough bites.

Elzbells · 04/02/2020 14:15

Dirty Fries
Frozen triple cooked chips
Gastro shepherds pie or fish pie
Hog roast pizza
Salt and Vinegar chipsticks
Fillet Steak
Parmesan mash

I ❤️ M&S food!

ImaginaryFriends · 04/02/2020 14:18

Prawns in garlic

AtleastitsnotMonday · 04/02/2020 15:13

The naked slaw with chilli and lime. Delicious. But I think it’s only available in stores with a deli.
Also salt and vinegar square crisps and a second vote for the maple bacon tortilla rolls, amazing!

DeepfriedPizza · 04/02/2020 15:18

They do an amazing salad that's in a round wooden tub. I've tried the chicken one and the parma ham one. They are excellent

Toddlerteaplease · 04/02/2020 15:22

Percy and penny pig biscuits. They are the best.

mnthrowaway202020 · 04/02/2020 15:31

I am literally surrounded by M&S stores, out of convenience it’s my go to supermarket so I can genuinely say that I have tried the majority of their food.

It’s very good but at this point I’m bored? It’s like the novelty has worn off after having certain items frequently enough, it’s actually exciting going to Tesco/Sainsbury’s for completely new options Blush

SeaViewBliss · 04/02/2020 15:37

Giant chocolate buttons - they're massive!

kerkyra · 04/02/2020 16:21

Those little tubs in the fridge isle,3 for £7. Olives, grilled artichokes, stuffed cherry tomatoes and my favourite are the prawns in oil and herbs. Delicious

Overseasmom100 · 04/02/2020 16:26

Colin the Caterpillars as well Smile

HeyPizza · 04/02/2020 16:26

Marks & Spencer Extremely Chocolatey Milk Chocolate Rounds.

Or in white chocolate or dark chocolate. All good.

Extremely Chocolatey.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 04/02/2020 16:31

Ham ridged crisps.

Percy pigs

Fruit and veg always lasts well.

Fresh soups

Freshly baked bread.

Do not get hooked on the cheese loaf in the bakery. £2 a teeny loaf. It’s sooo good.

Frogshoe · 04/02/2020 16:34

Dirty fries
prawn layer salad
Honey roast ham crisps

This is what I’m having for dinner Grin

mindproject · 04/02/2020 16:34

Plant kitchen cauliflower popcorn is amazing. I also love the Plant Kitchen hummus and wholefood salad. I dream of these two things often and occasionally buy them as a treat.

TheDrsDocMartens · 04/02/2020 17:17

Beetroot and feta little pot thing in the salad bit. Aldi do one but it’s just not as good.
