I'm up later than usual so expected there to be one of these already but can't see one.

I'm drinking tea, dd2 is watching youtube in bed, and I think dd1 is still asleep but haven't checked yet.

I've just put a joint in the slow cooker so all I need to do later are veg and roasties (maybe yorkshires too, we'll see).

I need to iron all our uniforms, and bake with dd2 for packed lunches. Will probably wash and tumble the towels too.

Dd1 has history homework to do, and dd2 needs to read and practise her spellings so we'll do that after lunch.

I also have a short list of things to do for work (e-learning...yay Hmm and a few things for my Rainbows and Guides for Tuesday. I'll check I have everything I need for both meetings too so we can pick up anything else on the way home tomorrow morning.

What about you lot? :)

Just got up too. We see MIL on Sunday mornings so will be heading over there soon. She’s 91 and lovely so that’s a nice way to spend the morning.

DH and I are going to the cinema at 1.

DS is starting work experience tomorrow so will be doing his paperwork with him later and going over bus routes with him.

Last thing, DH is having surgery on Tuesday so just have to make sure everything is sorted as we will be a couple of hours away and I need to make sure DS has food etc.

jaffaeclipse · 02/02/2020 10:02

I've just got up and have a really fuzzy head, I think I'm coming down with something.
The DCs were told to be ready to go to the supermarket at 10am but we're all still in pyjamas, I've had a look in the cupboard to see what I can cobble together for dinner but I think we'll have to go out.
I need to wash the uniform as well.

tessiegirl · 02/02/2020 10:11

I'm reading mn in bed, dh downstairs making breakfast and dd getting herself dressed.

I've got lessons to plan for tomorrow so dh and dd will go out for a walk. Then roast.

maddiemookins16mum · 02/02/2020 10:16

I’m waiting for a wash to finish.
Bit of tidying to do.
Going to have a lovely bath in a bit, then heading to the cinema and then Sunday lunch out.
DP is in the study preparing a training course and DD is in the Brecon Beacons on a Church Youth Away Weekend - back about 5pm tonight.
She sent me a quick text saying the Youth Hostel was cold and nobody slept very well and she’s looking forward to a hot bubble bath tonight.
I have four new members of staff joining my team tomorrow, I train them, I always feel anxious about it as they’re all bright, young things and I’m a frumpy, 55 year old. That said, I train them very well.

I got woken up in the night by period pain (😑) so having a slow start. DS and I are currently having a cuddle while DH chops some wood. However, shortly I will SPRING.... or at least lumber into action, get myself and DS dressed and get my sewing machine out for I have many a project planned. I am making a little reversible bag as a present for my niece, with a purse to match, as she will shortly be becoming a big sister, an earbud holder for myself because I’m fed up with losing my earphones and a farm playmat which is also a drawstring bag for DS, for his many tractors and animals. The last one is the most ambitious! It will probably take me a few days, as although I have instructions for the basic shape, all the embellishments that will make it look like a farm are freestyle. It’s not likely to be done today, I suspect.

After lunch DS and DH are going to visit FiL but I will probably stay at home and carry on with the making.

justgivemewine · 02/02/2020 10:21

I’m still in bed mumsnetting and waiting for dh to bring me breakfast and a cup of tea in bed 🥰

MadisonAvenue · 02/02/2020 10:25

The plan was for a dog walk first thing (as usual) but rain has put a stop to that.
I'm thinking about what to make for lunch and that we might go into town afterwards to do some shopping.
We're both trying to get over colds we've had for almost 2 weeks too.

UsernameTaken76 · 02/02/2020 10:27

DH is making sausage and egg muffins for breakfast. I am under a blanket on the sofa drinking coffee and watching Judge John Deed.

Going to watch the Downton Abbey movie after breakfast, then the rugby with a chicken roast dinner. Haven’t had one since Christmas so can’t wait!

Finish the day with dancing on ice and Call the Midwife and tiramisu for dessert.

lucysmam · 02/02/2020 10:50

@SeaViewBliss I hope your dh's operation goes well Thanks

It’s lovely hearing everyone’s plans. Me and DH are up but still in our jammies and the teens are all still in bed! I always want to do something nice when DH is off at the weekend, he’s a shift worker so is often working, but no-one will even get up before midday. So then I feel half the day is gone and get frustrated that another day is wasted. That’s why it’s so nice reading about other people’s plans. Have a good day to you all.
SeaViewBliss Good luck for your DH’s operation on Tuesday.

Villanomme · 02/02/2020 11:34

Just trying to motivate myself to do some batch cooking.

I know it needs to be done and yet I'm still here on MN Grin

marblesgoing · 02/02/2020 11:47

Just finishing my coffee in bed after brekkie dh made then we will be getting up for a nice dog walk
Dd 1 is in shower and dd 2 is currently sellotaping something she's making in her room.

Need to pop to town a bit later to pick up laundry things in bulk for the month and probably grab a Costa and then bak home to iron uniforms get lunches and bags ready for tomorrow etc x

VioletCharlotte · 02/02/2020 11:49

I was up early this morning. Went for a swim and sauna, then to Sainsburys for a few bits. Home to do a bit of housework, washing, etc. Seeing a friend this afternoon.

This evening I might go to yoga, then look forward to crashing out in front of the TV for a few hours before the working week begins again.

bigchris · 02/02/2020 11:52

Cleaned the kitchen and living room AND...emptied the dyson!

Ahhh a good Sunday indeed.
Going to chuck a Sunday roast together in s minute.

LauraLooDerby · 02/02/2020 11:57

Been up since 7am with 7 week old but got a good 8 hours (broken) sleep so feeling good!
I have showered, made and drank a smoothie, and DP has prepped all the veg and the chicken ready for later on.
Dressed DD in England shirt and now sitting breastfeeding watching various tv programmes waiting for DP to get back from the shops and pick up our friends who are coming over to watch the rugby and have a roast dinner after!
All in all - pretty happy.

Whattheduck · 02/02/2020 11:58

We’ve not long had a cooked breakfast
I’m still in my pyjamas really need to have a shower and wash my hair just waiting for dd to finish in the bathroom so I’m reading my book
Going to prepare a roast and make a crumble and some chocolate brownies once I’m dressed
Dh is working later and dd might go to her boyfriends so I’ll just potter about at home and catch up on some tv (and maybe have a nap)

stuckinthemiddlewithtwats · 02/02/2020 12:01

I'm stuck in hospital feeling shit. Been here since early Tuesday morning.
No one knows what's wrong with me and I'm less than 3wks off giving birth to my first.

Desperate to get out but I can't as I'm classed as a medical emergency.

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 02/02/2020 12:07

We didn't get out the house until late as DD was up all night and then slept in until 9.
We've just done the food shop and are now driving to buy DH some trainers - such an exciting day!
DS and DD are also asleep in the car so routine has gone out the window.

Thankfully once we are done I am making hot dogs for lunch and we might watch a film, and then later probably a walk in the woods for some fresh air.
I'm just about to drink a venti coffee so I'm hoping for some energy!

SunshineAngel · 02/02/2020 12:22

I feel like complete failure compared to the rest of you on here!

We had a child free weekend this weekend, so we stayed up very very late watching Supernatural with a Chinese and chocolate last night (I'm talking 4am) so I've literally only just got up and had my breakfast, now chilling on MN with a brew.

The only thing we are doing today is meeting with my family at Costa for coffee and cake this afternoon, and then I will make dinner later - but probably not a roast, given we'll have been snacking all afternoon most likely. I'm thinking pasta bake and garlic bread.

Then we need to collect DSS and nag him to tidy his room for a few hours until it's too late for him to start (even though he WILL come downstairs to get the bin bags at approx 10pm when he knows we won't let him do it) then we all go to bed ready for normality on Monday!

SeaViewBliss · 02/02/2020 12:25

@lucysmam thank you 😊

ItFigures · 02/02/2020 12:30

I’ve been for a run this morning and then took my DD for breakfast. Needed the breakfast as am very hungover. Food was delicious. Now back home as I have the decorators here and they need me to be here as they have a few questions.

Have spent the last hour on MN. We are normally out all weekend so being forced to be here is giving me a bit of cabin fever.

They should be gone soon so we’re going to take a walk up to the Heath and later we’ll get Sunday lunch.

maxiflump1 · 02/02/2020 12:51

@stuckinthemiddlewithtwats sorry to hear you are in hospital. Hope you get some answers soon and that you and baby are ok Thanks

We are in the process of decluttering the house prior to moving next month. Having to do it on shifts whilst the other one stops the 1 year old from doing something silly. Ds 4 is playing and watching tv. DH is about to do the first of several tip and charity shops runs. I have no idea how all this stuff fitted in the house! So ready to move though!

Chicken casserole in the slow cooker for tea and we'll do a dog walk when baby has woken from their afternoon nap.

Ikora · 02/02/2020 12:54

We got up and set off dishwasher and washing machine and then went back to bed with tea. DS has gone to his GF all day. About to do a few small chores and then out for a walk maybe about an hour. DH has to bloody work at home again! so I will cook later and we may fit in an episode of our box set hopefully but I will need to amuse myself for about five hours and will game on my console. I’m not needy I like my own space but it has always been thus, his work hours are ridiculous and sometimes I would just like a Sunday with no work. Last week he was free but we had unexpected guests turn up which was typical.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 02/02/2020 12:55

DH is at his DM's again. She needs checking up on every 5 to 6 weeks.
I bought a new landline phone and transferred all the important numbers, did the accounts for January, a couple of hours vocabulary revision with Duo - the owl sends me threatening messages - now I am waiting for my midday meal to be ready.
After that I'll construct - on paper - the ideal version of a homepage, which the expert / mate will then trim down to the archiveable.

Oh and the house marten is back - so Dcat stares at the ceiling like the great hunter he is (afraid of flys and ignored by pigeons).
