I care less about other peoples opinions of me with every year I age.

I used to be so self conscious and almost apologetic for existing. I'd over think every decision and lie awake at night cringing at the way I spoke to someone or bumped into a person on the street or dragging up memories of something I did.

What else is there to look forward to as we age?

I never have to go into a nightclub again!

If people told me life could be this good post 35 I would never have worried so much about ageing

We were supposed to travel the world instead I had two miracle babies, went to uni got my BA hons and was strong enough to throw the abusive narc wasband out on his arse.

I say bring it on I'm not financially stable yet but I soon will be as for looks I'm losing weight for me no one else and I like my grey hair.

I think the invisible is incredible it's liberating in a way I could never have imagined

Because I can be me.
I liked classic clothes, classical music and gardening in my 20s and teens. I've spent a lifetime growing into myself.
And work - I like work and being regarded as an expert.
Knowing I can retire when I want at this stage.
Caring about others but not giving a hoot about what they might think

Oh yes! I have no qualms cutting people out of my life if they add no value. I say NO a lot.
I am not responsible for other peoples happiness.

I’m only 36 but had DS young (19) so he’s almost grown up now. What I love is feeling contented, no more online dating (shudder), and spending time with people I love with DH by my side. Still paying the mortgage but it’s better than rent hey ho.

Being more self-confident and assertive.
Not caring what others think.
