Wedding bar- would you be disappointed?

We are getting married in the summer and currently stocking up for our wedding bar. We will have plenty of the basics:

Champagne
Red wine
White wine
Vodka
A couple of gins
A spiced rum
A couple of whiskeys
Malibu (close relative loves it!)
A barrel of real ale from a local brewery
Bottles of lager and craft lager
Cider
Fruit ciders
Pimms if its hot

I'm only dealing with the alcohol bit of this for now- there will be plenty of mixers and non alcoholic options too. Bar will be stocked with fruit and ice.

What have I missed? If you went up to that bar would there be something you are happy drinking?

I really wouldn't bother with drinks like port and sherry or it is going to cost a fortune and you will have loads of them leftover. Last time I was on a girls night out there was about 10 of us and only one drink was gin. Wine and vodka are still the most popular here. I'd like a reasonable vodka brand such as Smirrnoff.

Looks great OP - perhaps keep champagne for the toast only, and have prosecco or another fizz for the bar? Would keep your costs down alot.

I think a lot of it depends on your friends and what they drink. I know for example that your list wouldn’t be nearly enough beer for my friends as they are massive beer drinkers, only moving on to rum etc later in the evening. And they don’t drink lager, mainly craft beer/ales. But if your friends don’t drink that much beer then you won’t have that issue!

To be honest if it’s a free bar I’m sure there will get to be a point in the evening where no one gives a shit if their “preferred” tipple is out and they’ll just go for whatever Grin

Sounds very generous. I’m sure everyone will find something they like - I certainly could.

"To be honest judging by local tastes I only see people drinking Bailey's at Christmas and over the last 40 years I can't recall anyone ordering in a pub! "

I love a Baileys at night when at an 'event.'

what about jack daniels or/and disaronno? try and think what your friends would order if they went out for the night.
