Not how many portions, just different types.

I’ve had 4 fruits and 15 veg.

Decades ago when I was vegetarian I mostly lived on bread & cheese. So did most the vegetarians I knew.

Since I started eating meat I eat a lot more veg. This week...

9 Fruits: tomatoes, cucumber, bananas, orange, date, olives, grapes, mango, pears
8-9 Veg: red cabbage, carrot, parsnip, brocoli, red pepper, possibly peas, mushrooms, leek, beetroot
beans & humus too.

Interesting... mushrooms, peppers, onions, potatoes, spinach, watercress, tomatoes, cucumber, broccoli, Chinese leaf, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, lots of beans and pulses, apples, bananas, oranges, pears, frozen cherries, dried mango.

You can definitely eat a shit vegan diet!

Fruit- apples, pears, tangerines, raisins. I eat more fruit in the summer usually, So just 4.

Veg- spuds, broccoli, green beans, tomatoes, spinach, peppers of probably all different colours, spring onions, normal onions, leeks, carrots, garlic, chillies, ginger and do lentils and tinned tomatoes count? So between 10 and 15 depending on definitions!

I thought this was fairly average? I'm not eating anything particularly out there and most people probably have banana, carrot and peas in an average week while I'm not keen on any of them.

Interesting question!

Raspberries, blueberries, grapes, blackberries, melon, orange, apple, banana, tinned pineapple

Cucumber, lettuce, tomato, peppers, tinned sweetcorn, celery

Carrots, onion, broccoli, baby corn, spinach, green beans, sugar snap peas, cabbage, spring onion

Green lentils, kidney beans, baked beans, tinned tomatoes

I didn't eat all of those personally. So...

Fruit -
Banana, orange, apple, kiwi, grapes, rasberries, pear, pineapple, melon, dried apricots and dried figs.

Veg
Tomato, cucumber (am counting them as veg), onion, spring onion, peppers, courgette, butternut squash, broccoli, green beans, peas, carrot, sweetcorn, garlic.

Today we’re having a curry I’m making with sweet potato, spinach and chickpeas plus any veg I find in the fridge that needs using up before we shop again.

I eat a lot of fruit but do need to be vigilant about my veg as I can let that slip, despite eating a mostly veggie diet (pescatarian really - occasionally we eat fish but most days are veggie). I’m pregnant now so really conscious of getting at least my 5 a day, and making sure that there’s plenty of veg in that not just fruit (I’ve just had 3 portions of fruit for breakfast for example, definitely need to focus on the veg now).
