Rare visit to primark. What should I buy?

I'm in my closest town centre for work tomorrow which has a fairly large primark. I'm planning on popping in to have a browse. What should I keep my eye out for?

Do you need anything?

mummmy2017 · 27/01/2020 21:45

Oh the £13 packs of three bras. DD and bigger, love them.

Muminabun · 27/01/2020 21:47

Some nice things in the home section but I always head for the make up. It is true it is fab.

addictedtotheflats · 27/01/2020 21:49

Pjs
Double wear dupe foundation
High waisted jeans
Hoodie
Fluffy socks
Bedding
Vest tops
Some nice headbands in at the minute
Beauty essentials like bobbles, bobby pins etc
Nail varnishes are alright for £1

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 27/01/2020 21:55

Lint rollers. (White cat here.)

IHaveBrilloHair · 27/01/2020 21:59

Fleece lined tights, pyjamas, Underwear, nail garnishes, jeggings, Hoodies.

namechangenumber2 · 27/01/2020 22:00

I rarely buy day to day clothing in there- I find the sizing hard to work out

However I do like their vest tops to wear under jumpers and their PJs. I'm fairly leggy and find the bottoms a good length.

Other than that I like their hair bobbles, fluffy face cloth things ( make up remover), trainer socks and a few things from the home dept - the towels are good

NomadNoMore · 27/01/2020 22:05

I've just been in for the first time in about ten years and found jeans with no elastane! Really pleased with them.

Coniferhedge · 27/01/2020 23:14

Definitely cosy tights. They’re fleece lined and lovely and warm.

Itsagrandoldteam · 27/01/2020 23:21

Black leggings - they are only about £1.80 - £2.50 but they last for ages.
Socks
Fluffy socks
PJ's
My current everyday coat is also from there

Disney stuff

MorrisZapp · 27/01/2020 23:24

Tiny socks to wear with trainers

Winniethepoohbear · 27/01/2020 23:27

Have an unwanted £25 e-gift card for Primark you can use in-store OP. PM me if you want it OP.

myidentitymycrisis · 27/01/2020 23:30

I have great plain bed linen. When I bought it was their ‘premium range’ but when I went back for more I could only see the regular range in nasty prints which I didn’t want.

GoodbyePorpoiseSpit · 27/01/2020 23:30

With cheap clothes YOU might not be paying the price for their creation but someone is. Usually women or girls losing their childhood, their education and their prospects in garment factories.

motorcyclenumptiness · 27/01/2020 23:32

Duvet sets, towels, and thermal vests and leggings ... I'm so rock n roll

Givemeabreakpls · 27/01/2020 23:59

Addicted is the foundation a dupe of Ester Lauder DoubleWear?? If so I’m finding me a Primark tomorrow! I only ever buy that make and would love a cheaper dupe.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 28/01/2020 00:59

The Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir dupe

£8 called Pomegranate and Black Tea

ridiculousridiculousness · 28/01/2020 06:52

@winniethepolarbear
That's kind of you but I'd feel better if you could use it towards items that could be donated to a refuge, food bank or towards children who are in foster care.

£25 in primark would buy a lot for some people who find themselves in less than ideal circumstances at the moment.

I see families in need daily through my work and I couldn't justify taking this off you when I j is it could be put to a much greater use.

@winniethepoohbear

Sorry my phone changed it to polar the first time around!

If you need t shirts they do one called 'slouchy' which is plain and very soft. Dd got one and its lasting ages - even though it bobbles it's still soft and looks part of the design iyswim.

ChicChicChicChiclana · 28/01/2020 07:01

The only things I've bought from Primark are some beach towels (which are now at least 10 years old and rough and faded but still do the job so we keep using them) and their foundation in a glass bottle.

chocatoo · 28/01/2020 07:12

Make up primer. DD gets lovely bras and knickers but they don’t make them big enough for me. Leggings, t shirts, socks.

edgewater · 28/01/2020 07:17

Pjs or nightshirts
Pants
Socks
Opaque tights
Cotton wool pads
Mascara
I like a lot of their Disney stuff.

BeyondMyWits · 28/01/2020 07:24

Another one saying nothing. Decide what you need then go out to buy it.

The trend for throwaway fashion and buying stuff "just because" rather than due to need is destroying the environment.

Quirrelsotherface · 28/01/2020 07:26

Sport socks for me and character socks for the DC
