Blue Ribbon.

AhoyMrBeaver · 27/01/2020 19:39

Ribbund.

GetOffTheTableMabel · 27/01/2020 19:44

I would call it a yucky waste of calories.
Pass the KitKats.

You can buy a pack of 1000 in B&M for about 20p I think.

CormoranStrike · 27/01/2020 20:02

Blue Rib banned

WobblyLondoner · 27/01/2020 20:02

Oh I've had this discussion a few times. Blue Ri-band.

GameSetMatch · 27/01/2020 20:09

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 27/01/2020 20:12

Blue wafer

MyDcAreMarvel · 27/01/2020 20:13

That advert clearly sings blue ribbon.

myidentitymycrisis · 27/01/2020 20:13

Rib ond

saraclara · 27/01/2020 20:15

@MyDcAreMarvel it's hard to tell in the song, but the spoken bit at the end is very clearly ribbund

knightlight · 27/01/2020 20:16

Blue ribbon and it's a chocolate bar - not a biscuit - in this house.

Also if my husband does the shop and brings these home I always do a massive disappointed sigh, they're the worst.

Boring dry wafer bars.

Toddlerteaplease · 27/01/2020 20:18

Ribband, as in the award for the fastest Atlantic crossing.

MyDcAreMarvel · 27/01/2020 20:20

@saraclara I understand that to mean “ blue ribbon” ( biscuits) by blue ribband like “Air Max” by Nike.

MyDcAreMarvel · 27/01/2020 20:21

And yes chocolate bar not biscuit.

EggysMom · 27/01/2020 20:22

Blue Ribbund.

(Pretty sure we did use to say Nestles and it's only post-Millennium that it's been Nestlay ...)

LuluJakey1 · 27/01/2020 20:23

Yes, Blue Rib-and

woodymiller · 27/01/2020 20:24

My granny used to say bluery band. Haven't had one for ages but must add to shopping list

VerbenaGirl · 27/01/2020 20:25

Riband, of course.

ItsGoingTibiaK · 27/01/2020 20:55

HIGNFY tackled this important issue a few years ago:

NellyTimes · 27/01/2020 20:58

It's spelt Riband, but it's pronounced Throat Wobbler Mangrove.

Littlejets · 27/01/2020 20:59

It's the Mandela effect (have a google).

Likethebattle · 27/01/2020 20:59

The woman in our local Italian cafe called them ‘blue ribanbands’she was a sweetheart had cone over from Italy in her early twenties with her husband and their little family cafe for years. That cafe was an institution and sat across from the crossroad into our town and always meant we were home when we saw it. Now it’s a horrible kebab place :(
Anyway I always call them blue ribbanbands!
