I went the second week of January from Friday to Tuesday. The weekend was really busy but the Monday and Tuesday was like a ghost town.

We hardly queued for any rides.

HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime · 27/01/2020 18:12

We went Feb half term, no queues during the morning magic hours and longest one was 45 min but we timed that so we ate our lunch whilst waiting. We stocked up on good base layers and ski jackets etc from trespass and were too hot if anything. The park shuts earlier than in the summer but its such a long day anyway it wasn't a problem, and we were glad to rest in the evening.

I also meant to ask best age?

Thanks worra

January. Freezing but quiet. I never go over a weekend now. It’s just too busy.

heidbuttsupper · 27/01/2020 18:16

I use this to plan my break www.ooparc.com/fr/177-Parc_Disneyland/Infos/Frequentation/
It's a calendar showing expected footfall

Thanks worra

I was 40 Grin Grin

I think any age from about 3yrs onwards is good for kids. The rides and shows cater for all ages really.

Greenbutterlfy566 · 27/01/2020 18:32

Thanks everyone, I checked the calendar and it’s saying January is quietest really.

Had a lovely mon to thur in March a few years ago. Warm and sunny, not too busy.
Weekends are to be avoided!

BumpkinSpiceBatty · 27/01/2020 19:16

I can tell you not to go at Halloween if you don't like it busy. It was mad!

Greenbutterlfy566 · 27/01/2020 19:36

Yes I heard Halloween is really busy !

We did May half term and October half term. Latter was really busy and overcast. I mulled going in winter but I really don’t like the cold!

EduCated · 27/01/2020 19:40

We went in early December a few years back and it was a nice level. Very short queues. Longest we queued was 45 mins for the Nemo rollercoaster - the bigger rides had shorter queues.

Bloody cold though!

TFSRM · 27/01/2020 19:43

We went third week in September. It was still nice and warm and didn't have to queue much, even for the popular rides.

wendz86 · 27/01/2020 19:54

During the week much quieter than weekends. May half term not too bad as french schools aren't off. Check for french bank holidays though.

My daughters were 4 and 8 and loved it.

jayde28 · 27/01/2020 19:56

My DD was 3 almost 4. And we went beginning of May. Thurs-sun term time. Weekdays were fine and queues not too bad but the weekend was absolutely packed. It also rained for 2.5 days

Bairnsmum05 · 27/01/2020 20:22

Do you think a 14 year old would enjoy it?

Greenbutterlfy566 · 27/01/2020 21:44

Thanks everyone

Dd and her partner Are there at the moment. Weekend was busy but today is very quiet.

NeilTheBaby · 27/01/2020 22:39

Quietest time and best are 2 different things. Disney aren't stupid. When they have less visitors (like now, end of jan) lots more isn't open (I'm talking shops, food stalls etc) than when they have lots of visitors and also the park opening hours are much shorter. So people go in January thinking it'll be quiet when in actual fact the weather is shit and freezing, lots of shops are closed, restaurants only open on certain days or for certain short periods and the park closes early.

I've been in every month and every season. As a holiday late August is my favourite time as the weather is usually nice and absolutely everything is open all day as they expect it to be busy so cater accordingly.

As long as you plan your day at Disney right you still won't have to queue too much. Use emh and mornings for rides, shop and eat at lunch time, back to the hotel for pool/nap in the afternoon and back in the parks in the evenings when everyone else is heading out.
Oh and every age is perfect for Disney Wink

frugalkitty · 27/01/2020 22:56

We went in a Feb half term and it was busy but not too bad. It snowed so it was freezing but we'd planned layers, thermals and lots of snacks!

frugalkitty · 27/01/2020 22:58

Oh, and my mid teens loved it, the tween not so much! But it worked out well as I took him on some of the less fast rides while DH went on the fast ones with the older two so we covered everything between us but without anyone feeling like they'd missed out.

We'd all go back but I would want to stay on site rather than Davy Crockett if we did, just for the convenience.

Corcra · 27/01/2020 23:03

We went the first week of May last year, a Tuesday. It was bliss. Lovely weather and never queued for more than a few minutes. My children were 4 & 8, both loved it.

Greenbutterlfy566 · 28/01/2020 09:44

What was the weather like in may?

inwood · 28/01/2020 10:37

We did Halloween and it was horrendous.

Floralnomad · 28/01/2020 10:43

January week days are very quiet , weekends are always busier all year but what you have to weigh up is that the park opening times are much shorter which may or may not suit you depending on the age of your children etc .
