Has anyone played this game before ?

If so what do you think ?

Cards against humanity? Brilliant game!

Idontkowmyname · 25/01/2020 21:57

If it’s cards against humanity it’s a great game but all players need to have a tough skin and take on board that the nature of the game is as outrageous as possible

INeedNewShoes · 25/01/2020 21:57

I played it once about six years ago and found it uncomfortable. Having grown up another six years' worth I now would be assertive enough to opt out of playing it.

The format for the game is fun but the content is hugely unpleasant.

aurynne · 26/01/2020 00:01

I love it. It's black, outrageous humour and not everyone's cup of tea though.

Sonichu · 26/01/2020 00:05

I can play it in short bursts but I find it gets old really quickly.

Ginfordinner · 26/01/2020 00:14

Dark, sick humour. Best played with a group when alcohol has been consumed.

MsPepperPotts · 26/01/2020 00:17

Awful...not the least bit funny...a lot of the questions are just gross
It's not what I would call a family game that's for sure

amazedmummy · 26/01/2020 00:18

As you can see it divides opinion. I poke it but I wouldn't play it with people I don't know well.

Natsel84 · 26/01/2020 00:34

Thanks everyone I've just bought it and cant wait to play it ...
By the seems of it i need to have a warped sense of humour

crustycrab · 26/01/2020 00:37

I just don't get it. It's not funny. Not because I'm offended, I've got a pretty warped sense of humour, just because it's not funny

Spent the whole time sat their thinking Hmm

Panpastels · 26/01/2020 00:40

I played it once and managed to offend people with one of my goes. Even though that was the idea. It was quite bad though.

Signifyingnothing · 26/01/2020 00:45

It's hilarious and dark and can only be played with people who share your sense of humour and know that you're not actually a sociopath.

I love it.

AutumnRose1 · 26/01/2020 00:46

I found some of the content silly funny and some just grim

Would refuse to play. A lot of it is “why is that funny?”

MiniGuinness · 26/01/2020 00:47

I play it because I have older teenagers. I don’t even think it is that outrageous, very American which is possibly not as dark or subtle as my humour.

Natsel84 · 26/01/2020 00:49

@Signifyingnothing
I think we should be friends 😉😂

aurynne · 26/01/2020 01:02

Great if you want to become the cool auntie/friend of your friend's older teenagers. So long as their parents approve.

CuteOrangeElephant · 26/01/2020 01:10

You have to have the right crowd for it.

I find it gets stale quite quickly because it's not a proper game, rather relying on the shock factor

OhMeows · 26/01/2020 10:25

If we're playing with family/elders we usually remove the Madeline Mcann card.

misspiggy19 · 26/01/2020 10:26

^My experience too

Tereskova · 26/01/2020 10:58

The first time it’s funny (if you like that kind of humour), then meh and yawn.

WarmSausageTea · 26/01/2020 11:45

I like the idea of it, but the reality isn’t for me. The card about Jade Goody was one of the most unpleasant things I’ve ever read. And I know the game isn’t meant to be pleasant, but it really was revolting.

Imtootired · 26/01/2020 11:49

Ive said this on another thread about this but the game is really disgusting. What is funny about racism, genocide, making fun of disabled people, sexual assault? Nothing. It seems to just be an excuse for people to say repulsive stuff and I don’t know why anyone would want to

Needmorecaffine · 26/01/2020 11:50

It's very funny. But don't play it with the Grandparents WinkGrin

GreytExpectations · 26/01/2020 20:19

You do realise humour is subjective right? Just because you think it's not funny doesn't mean it's not funny.... Or are you trying to be "cool" by suggesting you are above it or "too intelligent" for it? Hmm

itswonkylampshade · 26/01/2020 20:22

I honestly don’t find it funny at all - it’s so contrived I just find myself cringing! Have played it twice with friends.
