Has anyone played this game before ?

If so what do you think ?

Depends Needsmorecoffee. My mum beat my sister and I hands down. I think we might have dialed it down a bit though.

GreytExpectations · 26/01/2020 21:03

This thread won't go well. Simply put, Cards against Humanity isn't a game many mumsnetters can handle. Last thread there was about it just after Christmas was full of the usual pearl clutching.

clpsmum · 26/01/2020 21:06

I've played it and thought it was hilarious tbh

lesleyw1953 · 26/01/2020 21:54

I wondered how long it would be before someone got spiteful. Are you trying to look "cool" or simply so "intelligent" because you DO find them funny? You do realise humour is subjective, right? Just because you think it's funny doesn't mean it is.

Potatobug · 26/01/2020 22:05

Another vote for not funny at all. It just doesn’t make me laugh. It’s the card version of Mrs Brown’s boys.

RhymingRabbit3 · 26/01/2020 22:09

I think it would be funny for a bunch of drunk uni students, but I personally wouldnt be interested. I dont really find black dark humour that funny.

GreytExpectations · 26/01/2020 22:11

Wow, you sound ridiculous, you know that right? I literally made that exact point in my post....

SunbeamsOverhead · 26/01/2020 22:13

Meh

forkfun · 26/01/2020 22:17

Potatobug - nail on the head.

Fuckthepainaway · 26/01/2020 22:25

It’s a firm favourite here. We have the Disney version too

GreytExpectations · 26/01/2020 22:38

Love all the posters who are quick to say they don't find it funny. Clearly trying way to hard to make themselves seems better than those who do enjoy playing it.
You enjoy your prudish way Smile

MyHairNeedsASnip · 26/01/2020 22:41

We love it in this house. It has to be played with people you know really really well though

GoodbyePorpoiseSpit · 26/01/2020 22:45

Racist

FordPrefect42 · 26/01/2020 22:47

It’s brilliant but it involves quite dark humour!

IHaveBrilloHair · 26/01/2020 22:50

Hilarious, we love it but you have to be not offended and have a dark sense of humour

Potatobug · 26/01/2020 22:54

GreytExpectations it’s not about being prudish, I am usually up for anything but it just doesn’t make me laugh and frankly, bores me.
I could compare it to watching a children’s cartoon like Peppa Pig. I can watch it but not find it funny because it doesn’t tickle my sense of humour like it does it that of a 5-year-old and I quickly find myself yawning.

Ugzbugz · 26/01/2020 23:43

I'm not about being PC at allnjiy didnt find it funny at all, its boring tbh

Natsel84 · 26/01/2020 23:43

@GreytExpectations

I didn't know there was a thread about this game before .
I guess this game is like marmite then .
You either like it or you dont .

natsel84 I was lamenting only today with my best friend that we hadn't played it lately. We actually wrote a kids version one year called ' Farts Against Humanity'. Lots of toilet humour and school-based scenarios. It was a work of genius.

Natsel84 · 26/01/2020 23:56

@Signifyingnothing
Brilliant imGrin
I have the worst sense of humour as well Halo
