My partner and I were reminiscing today about the 90s etc and our old teen hoods, we got on the conversation about things we miss you can't get anymore...

Bodyshop dewberry spray
Proper decent tasting cordial (without the horrible sweetener taste)
Watermelon barcardi breezers
Maybelline - ever fresh foundation
Milkybar choos

+1 to neutrogena clean shampoo. I stockpile it if I visit the States.

Body Shop Dewberry & Fuzzy Peach.

Drinks without sweetner, gutted that Bundaberg went down the sweetner Route.

Pacers, Bitz bars, Ice Breakers, Stripers. Proper Everton mints with a lozenge-sized thick shell and loads of chewy caramel. Breezers; same packet and looked similar to fruit pastilles but I think were red and green? Cadbury Silk bars, Cadbury Chunky - usually only available round Christmas then discontinued, Cadbury Nut Crisp.

A shampoo and conditioner called Pro-Tec-Sun, it was brilliant with dry/damaged hair. Got my first lot in B&M over 20 years ago then they repackaged and added a spray. It was sold in Superdrug for a while then vanished. Not found anything else that’s as good when I’m on holiday.

Another vote for flex shampoo

Waitrose used to do a Tiger Prawn Massala that I can clearly remember the taste of now. That was back in the 80’s though

Also Le Mesurier salad dressing. It was perfect and I just can’t find anything like it.

Spira, Jacobs club class, with little green minty bits, United biscuits, Natrel plus deodorant.

Bezalelle · 27/01/2020 09:38

Not a product as such, but I wish Spud-u-like would come back.

If anyone on MN works in marketing, please forward the thread to the right departments. Some of us are outright begging here!

I second the Impulse O2 and Dentyne Cinnamon gum.

Also the original Parker fountain pens with a rounded heavy metal nib. Those pens made my writing look beautiful and somewhat calligraphic.

Fundus macaroni cheese ready meal. The only ready meal I enjoyed. It had little breadcrumby bits on top and round the edges.

Findus *

Tableclothing · 27/01/2020 12:43

Body Shop Oceanus
Impulse O2
Dior Addict before they messed with the formulation
Cadbury Creme Eggs circa 1992

Not a product as such, but I wish Spud-u-like would come back.

There's still a few around - one in the Trafford Centre and one in Manchester Arndale. They've reopened some stores - if you google there might be one near you.

Oh the spice girls impulse back in the day was gorgeous. It smelt like orange peel.

Jars of mussels / cockles in tomato sauce
Lush Flying Fox shower gel
Marathons
Woodleigh green apple shampoo
The peperami they had for a while in the 90s that was made of cheese

TooleyVanDooley · 30/01/2020 21:32

Birds Eye brunchies
