Just interested In regional variances really.

We ordered the items below for two of us. It came to £21.60

Mushroom noodles
King prawn Hong Kong style
Egg fried rice
Seaweed
Prawn toast
Hoi sin sauce

We are in South East - Hertfordshire.

What would similar cost in your area at a typical takeaway?

(It was delicious, by the way 😍)

This is why the "I earn X and don't feel rich" threads are difficult. The same thing costs so much more in different parts of the country

Clevererthanyou · 14/01/2020 20:54

£21.20 at the cheapest Chinese + Cantonese takeaway. South Wales Valleys ☺️

Ceebeegee · 14/01/2020 20:55

£23 in East Midlands

Clevererthanyou · 14/01/2020 20:57

Haven’t eaten yet today and I would happily sell my own sister for a Parmo right now Sad

bbcessex · 14/01/2020 20:58

Now I'm interested in Chinese takeaways that don't do seaweed!!!

@HalfManHalfLabrador - wow - that's so expensive. Sorry, I don't much about Irish prices.
Is food generally expensive?

Cupofteaandtoilet · 14/01/2020 21:03

£20.54 from our local in a non-posh town in Warwickshire

PrincessHoneysuckle · 14/01/2020 21:05

Around £18 before delivery

amazedmummy · 14/01/2020 21:06

£24.20 central Scotland but my favourite Chinese take away isn't on just eat so I couldn't price it from them.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 14/01/2020 21:06

S Yorkshire ⁰

cannotmakemymindup · 14/01/2020 21:07

Oh now I just want a Chinese Takeaway. I imagine we'd be a similar price to you in very Northern Essex. Always cheaper and more food than an Indian but they have all those rules over how much they have to earn etc,. So pushes there prices up.

Drogonssmile · 14/01/2020 21:08

£18-19 in Bolton (NW)

Serafinaaa · 14/01/2020 21:11

ShivD · 14/01/2020 21:12

£37.89 on Deliveroo

bbcessex · 14/01/2020 21:14

SouthwarkSkaters · 14/01/2020 21:20

£23-ish plus delivery. Not an exact match as they don’t seem to do Hong Kong style but all king prawn dishes are £6 so I put that. We also get free prawn crackers/spring rolls. I’m in South Wales - village location so not many people deliver here! Restaurant is the nearest town.

hartof · 14/01/2020 21:23

£21 Manchester

Apolloanddaphne · 14/01/2020 21:23

I have looked at my take away menu and can't see most of the items you have listed. East coast of Scotland here.

mrsmoppp · 14/01/2020 21:49

Jealous of all of you having seaweed, none of my local takeaways do it

overnightangel · 14/01/2020 21:53

About the same as OP
Cumbria

userxx · 14/01/2020 22:03

@iklboo Yep, I was going to say £18ish.
