Piers Morgan - why his virulent hatred for Meghan Markle?

Not a Harry & Meghan thread as such but a genuine question as to why Piers Morgan is so offensively outspoken about Meghan Markle?

I won't do an extensive c&p exercise but some links below are indicative of Piers Morgan's general style.

Is this Piers Morgan's general persona or is this reserved for Meghan Markle?

There's something very weird going on with Piers Morgan. He's not letting up at all. I half expect him to ease off Harry and Meghan - but no such thing is happening. On the contrary, his pressure intensifies. It doesn't make sense. There's no logic or reason to it. I assume there's something going on behind the scenes that we don't know about. Maybe to do with Meghan's Lawsuit against The Mail?!
