Piers Morgan - why his virulent hatred for Meghan Markle?

Not a Harry & Meghan thread as such but a genuine question as to why Piers Morgan is so offensively outspoken about Meghan Markle?

I won't do an extensive c&p exercise but some links below are indicative of Piers Morgan's general style.

Is this Piers Morgan's general persona or is this reserved for Meghan Markle?

PS. I only know of Piers Morgan as Britain's Got Talent and decades ago as editor of the Daily Mirror

No 10 have banned ministers from speaking to GMB. The show was the one which set up the Boris hiding in the fridge incident. Boris is just this minute talking to Dan 'incisive questions' Walker on the BBC. Why won't he talk to PM I wonder.

I hate the way they set guests up too.

I feel they set the lady up (sorry but I can't remember her name). She very obviously has experienced racism in her life and felt she's not been given equal opportunities due to it.
But I feel her personality and extreme POV is just like PM. She started off when he pronounced her name incorrectly and was yelling all about racism with MM. personally I don't see it but understand as a white British lady I may not see everything.
But they know she's going to be extreme and know he is too and that's going to create this storm.

I don't think they were ever friends. I think he may have met her once or twice and, like some people do, he took that to mean they were best buddies. When she loved on and got on with her life, and didn't see him in the same light, he got in a sulk and won't let it go. Seems way more likely tbh.

He comes across as a horrible man much of the time. I can understand why she, and others like her, would want to disassociate themselves from him.

I would love it if he started slagging off the Duchess one morning and Harry barged onto the set and socked him a right hook to the mouth, it would make brilliant tv and come uppance would be served as there's only so much shite people will take.

Love the hell hath no fury... comment above - and agree. Why is PM even on our tv screens? I cannot watch anything with him in tit as he makes my skin crawl. Absolute slimeball. I am also furious with the media in general - their headlines and reports give the impreession they know what went on in 'the summit' - they just made up rubbish. No-one present would have dared leak anything to the press so only idiots are going to believe their rubbish. Stop buying these awful publications and perhaps they will be forced to clean up their act. Apologies from this Brit to Meghan - you have been treated in a disgusting manner and as a Brit, I feel ashamed my country has done this to you. I do not blame you and Harry for wanting something better for your child/ren and to be away from our gutter press.

Piers Morgan is one the vilest creatures on the planet. And yes, his obsession with Meghan is making him look seriously disturbed.

And as a few people have said, he will do ANYTHING for attention. Attacking vegans, slut-shaming Little Mix, ranting at intelligent and articulate feminists on Good Morning Britain, and of course, berating, and ranting about Meghan. And let's not even get STARTED on his past history of being a 'journalist,' and the fact he is BFFs with Donald Trump!

I wish he would fall off the planet if I'm being honest.

Like many people on Twitter - and in social media in general - he only sees issues as binary thinking. Life is complex - and that doesn't suit someone who has to express thoughts in 255 characters, in a column in the Daily Mail and on his GMB programme.

I don’t understand why ITV keep him on the breakfast programme, or why his co presenters don’t batter him over the head on a daily basis. He believes himself to be superior to most of the people who are interviewed. He’s sadly misguided and a thoroughly unpleasant character.

Unfortunately, he believes his own self promotion. Hideous man in every respect.

I really dislike Piers Morgan and can't believe someone with his extreme, outlandish views is allowed anywhere near presenting a mainstream news programme. The BBC would never allow it! .

I hope to God one day he gets his comeuppance like Katie Hopkins.
