Nicest things you had for your baby

I’ve got baby number two on the way and I’m just making a list of the things we need to buy.

Please don’t say you don’t need much and they just throw up on anything nice you have anyway because I like nice pretty things and I have the money, within reason, to spend so see no harm.

I don’t want to seem ungrateful but we made use of anything plastic and ugly we were given last time and they have since been given away so need to buy new things like play mat, baby gym, swingchair. So can you recommend the nicest things you have used.

I had the Aden and Anais animal Muslins...I adored them.

Loved our shnuggle bath, morrck travel blanket, myhummy white noise toy and grobag. Also loved organic cotton vests as they were so soft and washed well. Nice Muslins too.
If I have another I'd buy the babybjorn bouncer. Didnt know it existed.

To those suggesting the baby bjorn bouncers is there a difference between the balance and bliss?

Hmm only difference seems to be that it's jersey as far as I can see.
I got my bjorn bouncer from my local mums Facebook page for £15, it's fab condition! Used it for DS1, his cousin and now DS. Don't think I could have swallowed the cost of one new!

OP, exactly the same apart from the colours

Star wrap was a massive plus here. It has become my standard gift for any new baby now

The schnuggle bath. This was particularly helpful with having an older child who needed bathed at the same time. Quite quickly it was possible to sit her up to allow me to wash older one’s hair and so on. It allowed shared bath times without a shared bath.

We had a Bjorn bouncer and ended up selling it. I have no idea what is better about it than the £12 I bought from Argos for baby 1. It looked more stylish but my baby HATED it.

We had a close Caboo wrap - fine initially and actually really helpful. Beyond a few months something much more supportive was necessary so I wonder if going for a more structured one first off is better?

I bought some lovely rainbow muslins - huge ones which I used to cover for feeding. I don’t recall where they came from but they were so beautiful and so very handy.
