What underrated foods do you love?

Mashed potatoes with salad cream on top is luscious.

Seem as a quick tea which it is but they're so delicious. Mushroom and cheese mmm and a bit of tenderatem broccoli

@AgeLikeWine DH's guilty pleasure is tinned Heinz macaroni cheese on toast. For when beans on to east AND ravioli on toast are too middle class

Heinz macaroni doesn't taste the same as it used to i had some on toast recently and it wasn't as nice as i remember I think they took all the salt out 😁

I agree with ready salted crisps, aubergine, broccoli and cauliflower. All definitely underrated.

I add all cereal (with milk, obviously) - even the healthy ones. And coriander, which is wonderful.

Agree with prunes.

Also a really good Cox apple. Like a burst of spring in Autumn.

And just to redress the balance - malt loaf with thick butter so you get tooth marks.

Can't believe no one has said a Mars bar. The most underrated chocolate bar.

A really good margherita pizza cannot be beaten by anything with toppings IMO.

A cheese sandwich on white bread with a lot of butter.

Runner beans from the garden, cooked and doused in butter in a sandwich of proper white bread. None of your plastic shite

Plain foods are so underrated. Lump of cheese and a couple of carrots is a great lunch!

Toast and thick butter
Dippy egg and soldiers
White bread lettuce sandwich (must be the cheap round lettuces with salad cream - couldn’t be without salad cream)
Fried bread with a fried or poached egg
Scrambled egg and white toast
Basically anything white bead related!

Oh and tinned spaghetti on toast

Plain Crisps (Corkers for preference)

Ham Roll made with a white finger roll, salted butter and carved deli ham

Nice bread toast

Decent vanilla ice cream! Don't get me wrong I love flavours as well but there's just something about the creaminess of vanilla

Melon! Im always astounded at how good it is when I remember it exists around once a year.
