London restaurant for special dinner

Can anyone please recommend somewhere really nice for me and DH to go for a special occasion meal? I really wanted to go to The Ivy, but they dont have availability on the date we would like to go. Im looking for somwhere that will have a whiff of luxury, but also great food and service, where we wont feel intimidated! Our budget for 2 is around £200.

All suggestions welcome. We like all sorts of food.

I can highly recommend lunch at Mere on Charlotte St in the West end. If you're a master chef fan you'll be chuffed when Monica Galetti comes over to say hello! The food was amazing, too.

Pollen Street Social is another good lunch option. Very good food again.

Wow, such amazing suggestions, thanks everyone! Some I know and have had good experiences in the past - Langans and The Delaunay, and lots of good reviews of new ones! I'm off to check out menus and availability.
