Does anyone have a weighted blanket?

I get off to sleep ok but have trouble staying asleep longer than about 3am. I toss and turn then until about 6am, an hour before I have to get up for work.
I’m knackered. Am tempted to try a weighted blanket as I’ve heard good things.
Are they too hot? I’m currently comfortable under a 7.5kg quilt and my DH alongside me.
DH isn’t a great sleeper either and gets hot. Should I get a double? Any pointers would be gratefully received

I got mine off DP for Xmas. Its amazing. I've slept so well since. I have the senso rex one.

I bought one just after Christmas. I’ve finally given it up to my daughter. She loves it. I can’t understand where I went wrong. I need to be burritoed under at least three blankets to sleep. I wish I could try another one but they are expensive.

@calgaryreminiscence Thanks. Maybe I'll look at getting a single sized blanket so it's only on me. DD kicks off a light duvet anyway so I doubt she'd be happy with anything heavier.

Loving my koala but I did give my leg a strain when I forgot it was weighted and tried to kick it to allow the dog entry

@TowerOfJoy mine just goes over me. dp hates anything other than a summer tog wafer thin duvet so we each have our own and are both happy

Are they like an old school heavy eiderdown?

DartmoorChef · 19/01/2020 17:12
