Recommend a really soft cuddly throw to me

I'd like a new blanket for cuddling up on the sofa, but would like a really really soft one. My mum's friend had one that almost felt like fur, but I don't know where she got it, she couldn't remember.

Preferably neutral or blue to match my colour scheme.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I've got a heated one from Amazon, it's a really really soft, slightly furry throw with the added bonus that you can plug it in and it heats up!

Not sure if it’s what you’re after but I adore my Dunelm Teddy blanket and they come in lots of different colours!

Dodie66 · 01/01/2020 18:38

I bought this one. So soft and warm. Available in different colours and sizes. It’s a thick soft velvety fleece www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0157T2RX6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8

Costco ones are the best if you or a friend have a card. I got one & them had to buy the whole family them for Christmas. Now DS's girlfriend wants one

Mustbetimeforachange · 01/01/2020 18:40

The Dunelm teddy bear ones don't stay soft.

rainbowlou · 01/01/2020 18:40

Saw some gorgeous soft ones in Aldi this week

itsgood2talk · 01/01/2020 18:44

Definitely Costco - they are lovely. Super soft and massive! Come in lots of colours too.

Dunelm 'teddy' throws

JustMyName · 01/01/2020 18:50

Thanks.

I've got lots of fleece throws, but I'm looking for something "furrier".

I don't have a Costco card.

I'll look on the dunhelm site.

Costco ones are "furry". Find yourself someone with a card, they are cheap too!

DareDevil223 · 01/01/2020 20:30

I've just got myself this one from Made.Com, it was quite expensive, even in the sale but it's so gorgeous.

I was in Sainsbury's earlier and my DS fell in love with a deliciously soft fake rabbit fur cushion. I ended up buying 4 :) There was a matching throw that also felt gorgeous.

Cozee home on QVC do some really nice ones , also Catherine Lansbury does some nice ones ( the sheep one is gorgeous ) and lots of her stuff is on Brand Alley .

RustyBear · 01/01/2020 20:46

I have two of these from dunelm - I don't know exactly which they are, as I got them both out of a sale bin without their wrappers, but I think it might be this one

Or possibly this one

I do have a dunelm teddy throw and it is very soft and quite warm, but it's not as silky as this one - I just love to stroke it!

TheCrowFromBelow · 01/01/2020 21:18

Wilco fleecy throws have a longer side and wash really well, ours are years old and still very soft and snuggly.
I also have the Sainsburys faux fur throw, which is very soft and substantial.
It says it can't be washed but ours has been through on a cold wash quite a few times with no ill effects.

Home bargains and B and M have a collection of different types

HermioneWeasley · 01/01/2020 21:21

I picked up a grey fake fur throw in Morrisons for £10. I now have to fight my family for it because they all love it. I wish I’d bought another one

Stressedoutaboutinlaws · 01/01/2020 21:21

I have a dunelm teddy onsie and its lovely and cosy! Will need to have a look at the blankets...

Michaelbaubles · 01/01/2020 21:22

confusednorthner · 01/01/2020 21:24

Oh I've been looking for one too. I've got a John Lewis voucher and planned getting a heated one but they are out of stock locally and I wanted to see them first so now thinking maybe something really lovely and fluffy.

Batshittery · 01/01/2020 21:25

I have the one that RustyBear posted a picture of. The reverse of mine is golden colour velour. It is the softest thing ever and quite very big

ParkheadParadise · 01/01/2020 21:30

I have a Catherine Lansbury one it's so soft even after washing.
Next and Matalan also do nice throws.

Batshittery · 01/01/2020 21:32

It's 220cm x 220cms. I think it was about £25 but I can't find it on their website

PencilsInSpace · 01/01/2020 21:38

I got this for DD for Christmas and it's lovely and snuggly. I got the red one but it also comes in grey or cream:
