Best recipe delivery box?

I am a terrible cook, struggle for ideas and whenever I try following a recipe online it always goes wrong! As a family we really need to try some new ideas and eat a bit more healthily so I want to sign up for those meal kits for a few weeks to get some ideas.

I’ve seen Gousto advertised recently but does anyone have any experience of different ones and can recommend?

I absolutely love hello fresh! It's fantastic. Tried pasta evangelists, found it quite expensive for what you get. Hello fresh much better

JoshLymanIsHotterThanSam · 30/12/2019 21:19

I preferred gousto to hello fresh.

VinoEsmeralda · 30/12/2019 21:22

Gousto for us too. Hello Fresh too rich, more like restaurant food

I use Simplycook. It is pastes, herbs and spices that fit through the letterbox, then you buy about 5 ingredients such as the vegetables. I like it because it is much cheaper than the all inclusive ones, I don't have to worry about a delivery, I can adapt the recipe to ingredients we like, and I can pop it in the cupboard to use anytime.

Love hello fresh 😊

bluenoir · 30/12/2019 21:45

We looked at there but last time we checked they didn't use free range chicken.

bluenoir · 30/12/2019 21:46

*at these

MadameJosephine · 30/12/2019 21:51

I’ve tried both but much preferred Gousto, there’s always much more choice particularly meat free recipes. I’ve got a discount code for them if you’d like it? You get 60% off Your first box and then 30% off for the first month and I get £15 off my next box if you use it. I think I might have one somewhere for hello fresh too if you want to give them both a try?

itbemay1 · 30/12/2019 22:42

Another one for gousto here, love it! Gets me cooking more & we're all eating the same as we pick the recipes as a family, same as PP said use someone's discount code as it's a really cheap way to give it a try

Bonkersblond · 30/12/2019 22:47

I use Gousto, dipping in and out when I need inspiration, have always been very pleased and has got our family trying new recipes and cooking one meal for all.

Saltdoughmuncher · 31/12/2019 06:40

If anyone has a code for Gousto that would be great thanks!

This is my discount code for hello fresh if you fancied a cheap box from them to compare the two, this one would get both of us £20 off a box

Anyone use COOK? Had a delicious veg lasagne from there and am considering buying a week's meals. Is this wise?

Justnapping · 31/12/2019 09:32

Gousto is amazing! It’s changed my life! I feel like I’ve really improved my cooking skills and the recipes are varied and super tasty. They have 10 minute meals which are fab for during the week.

Justnapping · 31/12/2019 09:35

And here is a Gousto code in case anyone else needs one

Another vote for gousto, we’ve been getting them
For around 8 months and the hive always been really tasty and varied with the recipes. My shopping bill has also reduced as I am no longer buying fresh meat or veg etc and my food waste has also reduced as a result

Thanks for the Gousto code MadameJosephine.

TiffanyTrot · 31/12/2019 14:13

Absolutely love Gousto! So much so, we get a box every week. It's £34.99 which covers 4 nights of meals and the portions are very decent indeed. Getting the first few boxes is always amazing value as you get such a good discount

I've tried HF and Mindful Chef but nowhere near as good. Love the ease of the Gousto app

Anyone fancy giving it a whirl then please feel free to use my discount - we've tried most of the meals now and can really recommend the extra special bangers and mash, feel good fish n chips, the lasagne, the cottage pie and all the various burgers are excellent

Here’s my link to try Gousto! Use it to get 60% off your first box, PLUS 30% off all other boxes in your first month. https://cook.gousto.co.uk/raf?promocode=ROBER29096205&utmm_source=iosapp
