DS(14) does. For the last few years he has been doing it reasonably independently, also gets presents for his Grandmas. Not big presents but thoughtful gifts and he wraps them too.

Tbf I would have been equally happy with a homemade gift it’s the effort of thinking about someone else that counts not the gift itself.

Yes, they're teens so they go off and buy something between them which is always lovely and thoughtful. We didn't take them out to choose something when they were little, but they'd bring bits of craft stuff home from school to present as gifts.

Last time dd got me a present was Christmas 2016. She's 22 and well paid.
