Hi all so we have to go to the Maudesley soon and it looks like parking is v limited (30 spaces). Any ideas for a local car park? Have looked but am failing.

I'm sure driveways are great but honestly, having looked , I can only find one ( which of course is enough ) that in this particular location is actually near Kings/Maudsley . It's the one in De Crespigny park .

Thanks perdito I'm really worried about doing it tbh (irrational I know).

Oh I don't think it's irrational ,it's v hard if you're not familiar with the area .
FWIW I think the De Crespigny park one would be fine ,v near ,just off main road ,easy to locate .It's a good road and that space must have been used lots of times .It has a lot of reviews .

You can park on Windsor Walk. I am pregnant and we are being seen at the Harris fetal research centre and we have parked there every time with no problem. It’s pay and display or an easy app to pay.

Are kings and the Maudesley on the same site? With the same 30 spaces? Google makes it look like that.

Good luck with your antenatal care. We saw Prof Nikolaides (sp) for one of mine and all was v good care.

They are opposite sides of the road and also in Kings is Lambeth & Maudsley Southwark so the parking rules on streets around vary. Could you not drive to somewhere like Tulse Hill where there is free parking I think and just get an Uber.

Kings College Hospital is on one side of the main road( Denmark Hill ) and the Maudsley is on the other .

They both have car parks .

Definitely try the Michael Rutter centre first - this time of year they probably won't be that busy so you might get lucky

Kings and Maudsley are 2 different sites
There is also a small pay and display car park at the front of the Maudsley - you might get parked in there too - it's worth a try

Hope the appt goes well - I know the OCD service they are amazing

If you can't get parked at the Maudsley then there is always the Morrison's car park a couple of mins drive further down Denmark hill towards Camberwell - it's only a 5-10 min walk to the maudsley from there. If you walk up grove lane to de Crespigny park (where the Michael Rutter centre is) it's quicker

Just checking that you know the Michael Rutter centre has a separate entrance to the Maudsley - on de Crespigny park?

Thank you I need to look at the map they sent so dc doesn't freak out if we try different doors. Not been before.

Yes definitely check the info as the entrance to the Michael Rutter centre is different to the main Maudsley hospital entrance - the MRC entrance is on de Crespigny park (which is where their visitor car park is).

Thank you.
