La Maison De Sacs - Fake or Real items?

Spartonian · 28/12/2019 09:37

Has anyone bought from them before?

The company is apparently based in the UK, I have just checked the shipping information for the item I bought and the item is being shipped from China.

Have I bought fake items?

Anyone please?!

looks like a drop shipping company, they’ll be based in the UK but your item will be ordered from and sent from China.

Spartonian · 28/12/2019 16:18

@Grumpyoldblonde Would assume the items to be fake?

There are several companies with a very similar name but if it’s the one that comes up immediately with your spelling (not du or des) then these I would think are generic bags that you’ll have to wait a fortnight for.

Do you have a link?

Spartonian · 28/12/2019 17:02

This is what I bought

It says Gucci inspired in the description. So yes, it's fake.

Grumpyoldblonde · 28/12/2019 17:05

Did you read the description?

Get a sleek yet stylish look while protecting your phone with our High End Fashion Designer Gucci inspired phone case. Our phone case features a black border and bar. It's dual-layer design helps protect your phone from falls and bumps.

Spartonian · 28/12/2019 17:12

@Grumpyoldblonde No and I really wish I had done, I'm so cross with myself now, it was a panic buy due to messing up on other gifts.

Lesson learnt the hard way

OP posts:
Grumpyoldblonde · 28/12/2019 17:14

See if you can cancel your order.

Spartonian · 28/12/2019 18:52

Already dispatched unfortunately

“ the same way each of our bags delivers a unique and personalized massage”

Well. (Sorry, OP)

Spartonian · 28/12/2019 20:56

@UhKevin

I know, kicking myself for not paying better attention and really should of listen to my inner voice saying "if something's too good to true"

It's £25 for a phone case. That's what you pay anyway.

BikeRunSki · 28/12/2019 21:22

I am happy to be corrected, but I think the “dé” is wrong in the site name. It should be “de”. Doesn’t inspire massive confidence.

Tootsie00 · 30/12/2019 11:37

Hi , I ordered a “leather bag” on the 28th December , read reviews and cancelled order . They have taken money out and I have got my bank to start a refund ! Everything doesn’t sound right !

Tootsie00 · 30/12/2019 11:42

I’ve replied . I’m currently getting money back through bank . Haven’t recieved my item but I believe is fake

Spartonian · 30/12/2019 11:57

My item is still in China, I just checked the tracking.

Literally just typed in Maison Sac reviews and it brought me here. Bought a backpack that was meant to be leather. It turned up today even though I ordered it 27th November! Backpack is cheap and nasty. I paid £28.99 and I wouldn’t have paid a fiver for what turned up Angry

sproutie67 · 08/01/2020 15:41

Yes me to! did the same thing with the leather rucksack.. it turned out to be a hilarious talking point at Christmas day!!! is it or isn't it leather? It looked liked someone had ripped up a dodgy vinyl seat from a 70's café seating system!!! Suppose it could of been cool! Ha but I paid £38 (half price by all accounts), No response from Customer services. I think I'm going to set up an anti maison de sacs website... like I have better things to do!!! Ah well ! Silly me!

From Gucci website:

How can I report counterfeits?
In order to report to Gucci suspected counterfeit Gucci products or suspect websites, please send an e-mail to [email protected] provide us with as much descriptive information as possible about the product or the website, such as the location of the store, the seller of the product, the type of product, the website address, etc. We appreciate your help in our fight against counterfeiting.

I pay about £2 from Aliexpress and even our local market is a tenner. For £25 I'd be looking at an Otterbox type case.

Tootsie00 · 08/01/2020 21:17

So just to update you , I got a full refund today from my bank for my “leather ruck sack” from la maison de sac . I haven’t recieved my bag yet so I haven’t lost anything thank goodness

Johi72 · 02/02/2020 10:54

Hi all, Don't buy from this Company!

I wished I had read your reviews before letting my daughter buy a backpack from them. I paid almost £40. After two weeks one strap ripped off and my daughter's phone broke on the impact! From the moment we unpacked it, I could see that it was cheap quality. Didn't look like the photo on their website. Please don't buy from them. They have a policy on their website indicating that they don't do exchanges or refunds for items that were bought on sale. Guess what...all their items are on sale! It is not possible to leave a review either. The money was debited immediately and I am sure I will never see my money again. I am now trying to get my bank to permanently block them from taking money from my bank account in the future.

Johi72 · 02/02/2020 10:56

By the way, I contacted them and they replied saying they do not do refunds. How can I report them to try and get their website down?

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 02/02/2020 11:09

The best way to see if something is crap/fake is to look at the reviews. They'll be 5 star verified purchases, and they won't be in fluent English. I was after earbuds for a present, and the stuff under £25 all had strange names, weird reviews and low res pictures.
