Anyone fancy a really boring chat?

There's a thread about boring conversations people had at Christmas. Sounds great. I have countless young children and haven't had an uninterrupted conversation in years! Let's have a boring chat now about anything you like. What time did old Mr so and so next door come home last night? Remember Mrs such and such whose son went to your school a gew years after you left? No? Well, she's dead now. Any particularly boring anecdotes will be re-told to all my boring relatives next Christmas, in a "I heard, from a friend of a friend..." kind of way. So what's your least interesting gossip?

I found a pile of really quite hardcore S&M equipment dumped by the road near my house this morning. Guess someone didn’t like their Christmas presentSad

IfNot · 27/12/2019 14:28

Camel would make me look dead too but DP got a new jumper in camel and it looks surprisingly nice. I now believe he may be an Autumn.
Next door's been very quiet. I think she's gone to her sons this year. Accross the road is having a massive new loft conversion plus extension done. Looks like it's cost loads. I don't think they'll get their money back. "Improving" these shoddy houses is a bit like trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

It’s really windy today, it was pretty windy yesterday afternoon as well. It sounds like the front veranda roof wants to fly off!

Milanimilani · 28/12/2019 05:35

It was foggy yesterday. I was trying to work out at what point you can call it pea-souper. I think it became pea-souper between A and B but not at A or B. Exciting bus journey.

GinNsnowmen · 28/12/2019 06:02

Pigeons are eating the leftovers outside

WifOfBif · 28/12/2019 08:12

My alarm went off at 6am today, I’m not at work do not sure why it was set. I thought if I turned over I might go back to sleep but I didn’t so that was it, I was awake.

Deathraystare · 28/12/2019 08:28

My alarm went off at 6am today,

So did mine! Luckily I was already up as I have to leave the house then for work!!!

IFNOT - What season did you previously think your husband was? Does he 'get' this or look askance when you tell him or have you not told him?!

And to the two sock wearer - are both pairs the same length and is one pair thicker than the other???

disheveledpootea · 28/12/2019 08:38

I keep waking up with a really dry mouth, I think I need to drink more.

I need to wash this pillow case, I spilled tea on it.

Isn't it funny how the fridge smells over Xmas?

Greyhound22 · 28/12/2019 09:07

I took the dog out last Friday and the recycling bins were out. Thought everyone had lost the plot. Text DMIL (same street) and she didn't know anything about it. Then I saw it on the village Facebook page that it was happening! So I did a screenshot and sent it her! Out we trundled with the blue bins. I did think 'this is what my life has become' but still got all excited when the lorry turned up on the Saturday morning.

MrsMoastyToasty · 28/12/2019 11:11

I'm currently sitting in the Asda cafe enjoying a bacon bap and a cup of tea. My first bit of me time since DS broke up for the holidays.

Tahitiitsamagicalplace · 28/12/2019 11:15

Ds got a coat from my dad for Xmas, but he already has a similar coat that he prefers. Is it better to donate the new coat to the local homeless shelter, or to keep the coat to please my dad (who doesn't even live near us and would probably never know)? I'm saying donate, DH thinks we should keep it.

IfNot · 28/12/2019 11:34

Well. He's dark and I think I thought he'd probably be a summer. You know, pastels etc. I did tell him he might be an Autumn after all. He just said "Yes." and patted his jumper smugly, but I know he has no idea what I'm on about...Grin

HerRoyalFattyness · 28/12/2019 11:43

I have a headache.
I've taken paracetamol but it hasn't kicked in yet.

HerculePoirotsGreyCells · 28/12/2019 13:34

I contacted amazon as I couldn't redeem the gift card I received for Christmas. Turn out that I needed to open the cardboard packaging and the card was on the inside. Who knew? 😂😂

Milanimilani · 28/12/2019 18:20

Don’t donate the coat. If one coat gets covered in mud, you can put it in the machine and your son wears the other one.

SmuggyMcKnobson · 29/12/2019 12:38

The tarte tatin was very nice in the end.
If I made it again I would probably put less balsamic in though.

Powerplant · 29/12/2019 12:43

I have got to STOP eating all my Christmas chocolates and get off my arse to go and tidy up in the garden - home alone so relishing at the mo. I ll just have one more Ferrero that’s calling my name.......

LittleTopic · 29/12/2019 12:49

Today I am grumpy because none of my neighbours know how to parallel park properly. There are three cars outside who have all left about a 3ft gap between each other, meaning I am parked right up the hill instead of outside my own door. If they all squeezed up a bit I could fit my car in Angry

HerRoyalFattyness · 29/12/2019 12:50

I'm eating toast. The first proper food I've eaten in a couple of days.

Deathraystare · 29/12/2019 13:44

To have cheese and crackers or to remain on the sofa...

That's as far as my brain will take me.

Hope you got that sorted out! What a dilemma!!

IFNOT - They really don't get colours anyway, do they. I guess some might think blue yes, blue shirt but that is as far as they get.

NymphInYellow · 29/12/2019 15:01

It's really mild here, so I've done a ton of washing and I'm happily watching it gently wafting on the line whilst sitting in the garden, drinking tea and eating Lindor.

Drizzzle · 29/12/2019 15:20

Could I have some Lindor please Nymph? You could have one of my gingerbread men.

Milanimilani · 29/12/2019 17:56

Went to the chip shop, but it was closed, so I went to Tesco and bought some detergent instead. Still hungry. Should I try the chip shop again?

mummycubs · 29/12/2019 21:07

Moving house in a few weeks, wonder what colour or wallpaper to use in the DC's bedrooms. Convert the loft now or wait until the kids are older and want their own bedrooms? Keep the triplets together and the older three together and have a wardrobe room and a toy room or spread the six of them across bedrooms?
Do I get donate that annoying noisy toy my dad bought one of the kids or just crush it so no other adult has to suffer with hearing the same noises over and over again for eight hours a day?
Eat another box of chocolate fingers or get off my ass and join the gym before the baby weight and the christmas weight catches up with me?

ChickenTikkaTellMeWhatsWrong · 30/12/2019 01:35

I nearly got up around 6pm to start tidying up, but I then decided not to
