Mine will be ready at 5pm, I'm starving!

What time do you usually have yours?

1.15... then had a lovely nap

OneWildNightWithJBJ · 25/12/2019 16:32

12.30! If we don't eat at lunchtime, kids will be full with chocolate...

AnnaMagnani · 25/12/2019 16:32

Aimed for 2.30. Got 3.30. Cooking a Christmas dinner with one oven and 2 rings is a fucking nightmare.

We are currently having a short break before we can face pudding.

Roselilly36 · 25/12/2019 16:32

DH is cooking ours, usually 5ish.

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 25/12/2019 16:33

We had ours at 2. All the prep was done yesterday so it was just a case of putting the stuff in at the right times.
The leftovers are in the fridge, I’ve stripped the turkey and the dishes are done.
I’m now enjoying a virtuous Mimosa and making serious inroads into the Quality Street.

MotherHeggy · 25/12/2019 16:39

2pm

Kitchen is now clean and tidy. Left over veg and mash mixed ready for bubble and squeak tomorrow, Turkey remains in the fridge.

Tins of sweets on the coffee table and my feet up watching Say yes to the dress Atlanta

LaurieFairyCake · 25/12/2019 16:41

2 - was delicious and we were starving 🤪

JulietTango · 25/12/2019 16:43

We aimed for 1pm and ate at 1.30pm

maddiemookins16mum · 25/12/2019 16:43

Starters at 1pm...I just do canapes/nibbles.
We sat down at 14.45 for the main event.

Bubblysqueak · 25/12/2019 16:43

1.30 on the dot. I was rather pleased with myself as I'd aimed for around 1.30 ish and for once it was all ready.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 25/12/2019 16:45

Around 6pm. We had a big cooked breakfast and then opened up nibbles etc about an hour ago.

Notsure94 · 25/12/2019 16:45

Starter at 2, main at 245 after a bit of a break... We will tackle puddings in an hour or so.

Okbutno · 25/12/2019 16:50

3.45 ish we don't do starters. I'd rather just eat more of the main thing!

f00k · 25/12/2019 16:52

We had ours at about 1.30pm.

Organicmamahope · 25/12/2019 16:53

We had ours at 2pm. It was pretty easy to stay on time. I out the beef joint in the slow cooker overnight and prepped all the veg at 6am when the kids woke me up.

Oblomov19 · 25/12/2019 16:55

Not ready yet. 6pm?

bellsbuss · 25/12/2019 16:58

We had ours at 3, normally it's 4-5 bit we have guests coming this eve so we ate earlier.

Celebelly · 25/12/2019 16:59

We had ours at 4. Now watching The Snail and the Whale with DD before dessert!

Dollywilde · 25/12/2019 17:01

We’ll be having it at 5.30, am at the in-laws. Mum and dad aim for 2.30 but usually wind up serving up at 4 as they faff and get stuck into the booze Grin they have a hostess trolley so timings are always a little bit ‘subject to change’ 😂

o0 · 25/12/2019 17:01

Will have it around 7pm.

LucaFritz · 25/12/2019 17:03

Had mine about 2pm

PickAChew · 25/12/2019 17:03

1pm.

DS2 had a slice of toast about 45 minutes before it was served, though. The cooking smells got the better of him and he couldn't wait any longer!

TheElfFellOffTheShelf · 25/12/2019 17:04

About 2p.m. We'd finished by 3 and we're still full! Everything is clean, tidy and put away; it's almost like Christmas dinner never happened!

lifeisgoodagain · 25/12/2019 17:06

1.40 this year according to photo time stamp. Will be making tea in an hour or so!

Wheresthebiffer2 · 25/12/2019 17:07

OH is just starting the prep now. I'm hoping we can be finished by the time Call the Midwife comes on telly.
