iPhone X vs 11

My beloved 7 Plus met and untimely demise this morning (to be fair, it was on its way out but it had a bit longer!)

iPhone X and 11 are the same price, my head says get the 11 because it’s the newest but reviews say X is awesome and no point upgrading

Any advice??

The XR?

I’ve just got a new phone & have the XR, really happy with it.

I’ve just changed from XS to (big) 11 and the although the X camera was very good, the 11 is a big improvement. Other than that, I don’t think there are huge differences between the two, but the camera swings it for me.

The XS is £629 and the 11 is £699. Not sure what is best to go for!

If you like to use your phone for photos, I think the 11 is worth the extra 10% cost.

I upgraded recently to the 11 from a 6s as I wanted a camera that is meant to be better in low light as I use it a lot at gigs.

Like you I was torn with the reviews but thought the extra money future proofed me for slightly longer.

All depends what you use it for which would be better

Recently upgraded to the XR - really pleased, could have gone for an 11 but after inch procrastinating in the Apple shop and a lot of discussion with the salesperson XR won .

I think the XS is too small to go to from a 7plus...does anyone have any experience going from one to the otber

Wait, do you mean the 11 pro or just the 11?

The X/XS are more premium devices compared to the 11. The X/XS successor is the 11 Pro line. The 11 is the successor to the budget XR. I would get an XS.

I would get a XS over the standard iPhone 11.

The 11 was coming in slightly more expensive and I didn’t need the 3 cameras. Previously had the SE so either was going to be a step up in screen size

I think I’m right in saying XS has been discontinued as software was identical to 11 - so that is not an option as per pp

The op mentions both the X and XS as options though, which have both been replaced by the 11 Pro

I think the XS is the most sensible option but I’m just worried it’s a bit small when I’ve used the 7+ for 3y!

Another vote for the XR - battery life is amazing

The iPhone X/xs is the same size as the iPhone 8 Plus (and older plus phones). There’s also a larger display on the x/xs.

My OH has just bought an 11 pro. He’s given me his old XR, getting used to using it after my 8plus. The camera on the 11 pro is amazing

DH just upgraded his old 7plus to an XR and is really happy with it. Couldn't really see what the 11 would give him for the extra ££s other than the 3rd camera which he's not bothered about anyway.

@Pericombobulations how do you find the size difference? I’ve got a 6S and while I wouldn’t go smaller I picked up a friends XR and it felt huge and heavy. It’s already hard enough to fit the 6S in stupid sized pockets.
